2 resets, but they were allowed right? Yup, they're part of the game (designed to save keyboards and controllers). Jussi

Well I think each reset should be docked half a second off the total time. Can't agree with that, as I often use all 5 of them at the last stretch (if I can see the split times of my rival). Jussi

Jussi Was only joking Jussi, but what about an incentive for not using resets. Like say a date with an FHM girl, I will even settle for one with a Sports Illustrated girl. B

I kind of agree with Wizard,,, No reset allows.... I would be embarrassed to place time with any resets....
it would make it more challanging to perfect your racing skills too have zero resets...
Maybe we should put it too a Vote??

Maybe we should put it too a Vote?? No vote, but we can add an incentive to try to keep the resets low. As you all probably know, this year our competition winner is not determined by the points earned, but the fastest over all time and points will only come to play, if 2 racers have the same time. Now we could deduct all used resets from the total points earned and add a title of point champion at the end of the series. That way everyone could decide for themselves whether they want to do 50 clean runs or just 10 runs utilizing the 5 resetes provided per race. The reason why I do not want to ban resets, is thet it might either be really time consuming (or even impossible) to beat your existing Autolog record that has resets with a clean run. I tried to beat one of Wizard's times yesterday and used all 5 resets on the last stretch every time. I did that race at least 10 times, yet I was only able to better my old record by .2 seconds. Without the resets, my record would have probably stayed as it was. How does that sound? Jussi PS. I've decided to add a Christmas special race that will end on the 25th and start the actual "RUN" a week later than originally planned. That way those who get the game from Santa, will be able to participate in the first event (and we do not need to have a raceless week in our calendar).

But your statement just validates the fact that resets may in actual fact allow for faster times to be set that are not really valid. I personally will not post a time that has any resets and would rather restart the run from scratch. The times I do have on the Speed Wall that have resets are the result of me testing my theory that resets result in faster times. I could not set the times of the racer above me that had multiple resets for the event and so ran the event using resets and was able to beat or get close to the times set by doing so. I feel it is a mark of a drivers skill by completing a run without crashing out and resetting numerous times. B

B Resets do indeed at least make it easier to beat the records, but the point is that we have no way of posting times without resets, if we can't beat our old times done with them. The flash screen at the end of the race that shows time, does not show the resets used. Then anyone with a time they can't beat with a clean run, would not be able to enter the races. That's why we can not ban the resets all together even if we wanted to. EA has once again managed to make a game with worse after race screens than the last one. Jussi

I will be happy to whatever you decide and will have no problem posting new entries. I need another wheel, because my left button on my G25 is failing - making it hard to enable use of nos - so I guess G27 here I come. Poul

I'll come up with something that suits both gentlemen drivers and casual gamers. Isn't the hardest difficulty in the game the kind that has no resets. What is it called? Jussi

I am going to have to agree with Wizard again on what he said but what about the issue of this game not supporting a steering wheel at the momment until the first patch is released???....

Do you mean Extreme handling in career mode Jussi? You still get one reset on extreme. I dont think you change handling mode for Challenges, or have i missed something?
Like Poul, i will do whatever is decided. It doesnt matter to me. Using resets saves a hell of alot of time, but i agree with Wizard, completing the race without resets shows real skill levels.
@sunny, i doubt they add anything for the wheel controls. What do mean not supported? Mine works just fine.
@poul, are you sure it doesnt just need cleaned? The left button on my wheel quit working a few weeks ago, so i took the wheel apart and cleaned the buttons and used some silicon spray and they work great now.
