The new one looks more aerodynamic and has a sleek design and the other one is more of a classic for you guys

So if you want the style of an old 911... why not buy an old 911? *shrugs*

Hmm... I see what you're saying but really, you could say the same about the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger. Let's face it; 'new' retro is still in. The new Porsche really only borrows a few 'retro' styling queues that I can see (on the exterior anyway). The duck-tail, rims and stripes. You could probably modify an existing 911 Carrera to get a very similar look at a fraction of the cost.

Indeed! That duck-tail alone makes this new limited edition (250 only) car so good looking. ...but, I bet any 911 (apart from 996 series) would look just as good with that duck-tail and some proper rims, paint and vinyls. Jussi PS. I do not like 996 series that much, the headlights are just not right on those ones.

I think it's safe to say that any 911 would look good in any form.... with or without a ducktail (save, MAYBE, for the early 996's). Come to think of it, a 911 would look absolutely fantastic with my driveway under it

who would like to have their very own Porsche let alone a 911 they all look incredible and for me I like the newer 911s Why would someone buy and older vehicle I don't understand for one thing I don't think you could even get a good warranty on it. Not only that if it where to get damaged it's an older car so you can Imagine where you could get the parts to fix it

You strike me as the type who doesn't know much about cars, and judges them on the numbers and pictures alone. Well, for a start.... The base price for the '10 911 Sport Classic is $255,600. That's a lot. OR, for $25,500 you could have this: '73 911 Carrera RS clone. Admittedly, yes, it's a clone. (real RS's go for insane $$$) Or you could chose from a wide selection of early 911's for under $30k, and some VERY nice examples fetching considerably more than that. It would take on HELL of a lot of warranty work to offset that. For parts... they aren't an uncommon car, so parts aren't hard to find. Here's one place :http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/911_catalog_main.htm Failing that there's always used parts, and plenty of other sources. Have you ever driven an older car? (or any car?) Trust me... it's a completely different experience than a new one. Not everything is as perfect, and the drivers aids aren't there to save your ass when you run out of talent... but that just adds to the character. There's a reason I want to sell my "new" car and get something older.

Well I would rather have the newer one not only because it looks better but at least it won't break down on the first week let alone some old cars the first day. Yes I know you can go to some websites for the parts but like you said they are always used so do you really trust the seller so the part works? No, but still if you still really want and old car at least try to get it factory refurnished so it's like brand new in a way.

Hint: Those parts are new. Hint2: Old =/= unreliable. The newest car I've owned is the least reliable.

I've always liked Porshe. And admired them for just how good they are. I'll have a 911 anyday.
