I haven't experienced this problem yet. It only happened once to me with ProStreet, and only lasted 2 races (Lotus Elise, Texas A where it started, Texas Oval, still fast, next race back to normal). I've never had this happen with NFS Shift.
Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this for NFS Shift? Is it online only or both offline and online?

I too had a speed right now in online play. I was in a room filled with Germans and we were racing Nordschleife (karusell) with 14.0 cars and my cars (Nissan R35) top speed was about 240+ I think. Then the leader choose London Royale Mile which is a track I really do not like. I again used same car but now it was really fast and had better grip. I always have FRAPS enabled for things like this and I did a video of the top speed and as you can see from this picture I took after I played it in Media Player it shows that it was able to do 260+ on that straight which I bet had it been on Nordschleife before - people would have left the room screaming cheater. Now it was London Royale which I hardly know so people was only left in the dust by 20 or so secs, but too bad it was not another track I know much better, then we could have seen just how much faster this bug is making the cars. We need to be aware if this is also happening in quick races. I left the room right after this race and took it on Nordschleife to see if it was still there - but no it was not. Please everybody keep your eyes out for this, because we need as much imformation as possible for our competitions, so that we can tell if such a bug is present in quick mode as well. Poul

Hi!
I have nothing to say about the Bug, except I still didnt had it, what is not surprising, considering I still didnt do a single Online Race! :x
But I have a question... In there any chance R35 V-Spec would be better 14.0 Car then normal R35? I really didnt want to loose my Works R35! I love the looks of that car! :S
Cya!

Hey
Actually I should have been more precise - it is the R35 V-Spec that I used. It was tuned to cornering and here it was doing 20 km/h more than its supposed to. I do not think that the "normal" R35 is a faster car at all - higher top speed yes - but the handling is not as good as the V-Spec.
