Well I did not mean that 200 EURO is a smal ammount of money, but I think that it is cheap for such a great graphics card.

P.S

I use a ATI 3870...i haved not faced any problem with the game.....i am using an old driver.....u can try using a old ati driver...see if it helps or not...iam using 8.11 I've read a lot of complaints on various gaming forums that the ATI updates will suddenly make certain games crash after working perfectly before the driver update.

I'm using Catalyst driver version 9.8 (will upgrade to 9.9). The latest "legacy" version (old video cards) is 9.3 or 9.3.1.
NFS Shift Career update - I just completed tier 2 and the invitational events, stats show 90 wins and 410 stars at this point.

Here's a wacky one for you. I just sold my Mazda MX5 for $243,000. My BMW M3 (the most expensive one) only gets $129. I had started with the MX5, assuming I was going to get the BMW (pre-order special) and thinking the MX5 would make a good drift car. All was going well till I installed the 2cd lot of stage 2 upgrades. I had installed all stage 1 and handdling stage 2, but when I installed the power stage 2 ones the wholle game went wacky. Graphics card type issues; wierd sounds, frame rates that would make a slide show look good etc. Of course I went straight to the graphics settings with the now well documented results. Tried updating my graphics card driver only to come to the conclusion that I didn't have a clue how to. Ended up doing a couple of system restores and buying the BMW and have been having a ball tonight. I'm now well into tier3 (level13) and have tried a few tier4 invitationals. I'm only running the AI at 'easy' as I have enough to deal with in learning the tracks and cars. There does seem to be some gliches in the game but when it is running well it's heaps of fun. I love the way you can drift the cars through the corners. I hate the lack of head tracker support though. Not even a look ahead setting!. It means you have to really know the tracks, and the lack of a practice run as in Pro-Street doesn't help. It also pays to have a book to read whille it loads tracks/races. Hell, even when you race the same car on the same track! Anyway I now have over 1/2Million in the bank and hope to be in a stage4 car tomorrow. Cheers Steve.

Hi!
I am trying stuff in Tier 2... To be honest, the game is really hard for Keyboard... I am having lots of troubles in Medium difficulty, and my Cupra Works Package doesnt help, because the competition has cars even faster if I use it... I am now trying to see if Stability Control with everything Off is good for AWD Cars in Keyboard... Man, I cant wait to plug my Wheel... Anyway, I guess if I want to complete as much as the game as possible, and I need that, I will have to go for Easy! :S In Medium already, at least if you use Keyboard, in order to win with Works Cars, I believe you have to work the setup already... So I cant even imagine what is needed to win in Hard! :x
Cya!

Well Rogerio Today I decided that I would never be able to finish career by Christmas if I stuck with hard difficulty level. I had to redo some races like 10-15 times just to get on podium. This is of course because I do not know the tracks yet and my tier 2 Cayman S is not easy to handle. I tried upgrading it and tuning it so it has better handling and grip but it is really a hard car to keep on track. So to make progress in this game I have set difficulty level to medium - you can see my driver profile and my current settings. I must have raced like 20 hours or so but only done like 30 races and it would take forever to do it on hard. I am not sure my Cayman S is benefiting from traction control set to high. It still spins off if I push the gas pedal to hard while cornering. I really hope the handling is better in other cars or that we eventually find a tuning that suits the Cayman S. P.S How is the handling in online play...anyone? Poul

Here's an update from me... First: I can't believe I have to reach level 27 before I can create a racing vinyls of my own with numbers... Second: That 8.11 driver did not help at all, as the FPS still drops quite low occationally... Third: Here's what my car looks like now... Fourth: Which 911 do you guys recommend and why? Jussi PS. Everyone on PC, please send a friend request to jsskppnn, OK?

Hi guys! After another 3h of gaming I finally found out what I have to do to play with Keyboard and I am loving it now! You must have Stability On! Because with this on you can compensate the digital turning making the game awesome even on Keyboard. So I have Stability On and TC on Low. I sold my great Works Cupra and bought a Works Subaru! Its a great car and beautiful! With it I have reached wins on all Tier 2 Races except the ones only for Europeans or American Cars. I also didnt play any Drift. Now I will rest a little, and then going to buy an American Car and another European. I have about 1.1 million, so for now I will not sell my Subaru, which is worth about 600.000 I think. 2 things that nobody had said before: first of all, when you sell Cars you get back all the money you invested in the 1st place, which is great for testing purposes; second, when you install the Works Package you loose NOS. So after 8h of gaming, I am with 250 Stars and around Level 18 or 19, dont remember. Cya! Rogério

Rogerio
How are you able to earn that much money? I am getting 15.000 for each win. To earn that amount of money you have, I need to race like 100 races and win them all if you have used money to buy upgrades aswell.

Leveling up brings in some pretty big sponsorship money the higher you get, I think. I think there are a couple levels that bring $250,000 in sponsorship, even one million if you get near level 25. Might be thinking closer to level 50. But there is some big money when you do a lot of online and quick races to rack up racer levels and race prizes.
I think I have something like $300,000 and I've only done maybe one tier one race. Everything else came from a couple hours of online races, most of them being drift events.
