Now that I think about it, Ambush Canyon has a few bumps that mess up the works Z06 a bit, more so the works Camaro SS. Assists may help with the bouncy response. I found that I had to memorize where the bumps were and veer inwards a bit before those bumps so that the car "landed" back on the normal line.

I forgot to ask. Does using manual clutch allow faster shifts the way it did for ProStreet?

Hi!
Auto Clutch Off allows better car control, which probably means faster lap times, especially due to time we win in breaking. Nonetheless, Clutch Off also has a downside: if you spin or you crash and the car goes to neutral, you will be stuck in full stop for several seconds...

With ABS off, the Murc can brake faster. Seems it's better to run the Murc with all assists off. My best laps are around 1:55.3 now, in normal or experienced mode. The grip levels would appear to be based on the gameplay mode. In the file physicsbootflow.bff, there is another file physicstweaker.xml, and in that I see the line:
<prop name="grip level" data="1.45;1.3;1.3;1.2" />
I assume that the multipliers correspond to the game modes:
1.45 - casual 1.30 - normal 1.30 - experienced 1.20 - pro

I did a run in normal mode, auto clutch off, for a 1:54.910 lap. I've only run a few laps under 1:55, so I think I've reached my limits. Maybe VGSpeedPro can look at the video and see where I could improve. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAyN9PZgEoE&fmt=22

I take a little more inside line on some corners... Probably the difference is the braking and eventually some extra speed I take into cornering entry... I will try to save a video... Rogério

As VGSpeedPro mentioned in another thread, the Zonda R is faster. I ran a 1:54.1 after a few laps. Turning off autoclutch on the Zonda makes the gear changes jolt the car, so I turned it back on. I left downforce alone, but changed the gearing to get the gears closer: 1st - 1 click right 2nd - 1 click right 3rd - middle 4th - 1 click left 5th - max left 6th max left The car redlines in 6th, and makes an awful sound, but it continues to accelerate to about 188 mph = 300 kph, depending on the track. I usually set the damper fast rebound rate to max right to reducing bouncing on some cars (works Camaro SS). The Zonda R probably doesn't need it, but it shouldn't hurt either. The settings will end up one click left of max right due to a setup bug in Shift. In Shift, no advanced tuning setup parameter can be set to max right, as it will revert to one click left of max right once you leave the tuning menu. I bought the NA (North American) DVD version of Shift from a local store. I don't know if the European version is different. The console version is faster. Some one posted a 6:16.4 run at Nordschleife using works Z06 on a PS3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEh1OG0Fm58
