Online stats show you got a 1:55 at Road America with the Lambo Murc. I was running 1:58's with the Zonda R, and 1:59's with the works Z06 during career, but the Lambo Murc was very slow either with all upgrades or with works upgrade. Top speed using long straight at Nordschleife was about 160 mph == 256 kph, and it took forever. At Willow Springs, it gets up to about 150 mph (240kph), on the downhill straight but slows to 140 mph (225kph) at the next turn (turn 8, next to last turn at Willow).
I tried advanced and quick tuning to see if it was related to the same bug as the muscle cars that don't move, but that didn't help.
Can you explain what you did to get the Lambo Murc to perform as it's rated (20.99 on my system)? At Willow Springs, the Zonda R can run a lap around 1:11.5, but the works Murc is around 1:16 on my system.
update - It's somehow related to making any setup changes. Once I make any change, the car ends up being downgraded, based on when I run the car, the racing line goes yellow at slower speeds than before I tuned the car.

Maybe the north amercan version of Shift is just broke. I have both versions... Wonder how they are different? I have installed the EU version. Jussi

My works Murch do 290 km/h but when I first build it, the top speed by default was like 189 km/h in 4th gear and slowing down in 5th and 6th. This game needs a patch with all these bugs.

Hi!
I just bought the LP640 and put all Upgrades and then the Works Package. I have it with Default Setup and the Max Speed is close to 295 km/h in Road America... In Nurburgring I already went over 300. Today, before coming to work, I was testing some Wheel Settings and I did 1m 53.9s. Still possible to improve more...
Cya!

Well I would not be surprised it it turns out, that the North American version and the download version I installed have bugs in them, and that the European version is perfect.
I think I will go out and buy a DVD copy just to check it out and install in on my 2nd hard disk.

Hi!
I bought the European DVD... But kept my pirate install, just changed the Key in Registry... Usually the pirate versions are based on US Version, but this one had UK marked Help Files and didnt complain when I installed the EU Patch...
I would very much like to know the differences between them, if any.

Setting the downforce to 0/0 fixed the top speed problem, but the Zonda R is still a bit faster for me, although I'm only getting about 1:57.5 with it at Road America.
What driving mode and/or assists? Are you using advanced or quick tuning setups? What are your settings for the Lambo Murc? What are your settings for the Zonda R?

Hi!
I Drive in Normal Mode with all Assists Off. When the game asked me what I wanted, I choosed Advanced... But I still didnt change any setup. Default for LP640. Still didnt drove the Zonda R.
Cya my friend!

Not tuning the Lambo Murc seemed to be the trick. Once you tune it, it seems to slow down. Setting back to default settings doesn't help either. Setting downforce to 0/0 seems to get the speed back, but I haven't tested with tuned setup to get it back.
The Zonda R is going to be faster at most tracks anyway because of it's better cornering (I use 8/8 downforce, mostly to keep it from flying so much at Nordschleife).
Anyway, I can run about 1:57 with the Lambo Murc at Road America, versus 1:57.5 with the Zonda R. Since I'm using twin joysticks with no force feedback, I'm probably turning in a bit too much, causing some understeer.
The Zonda R is faster at Willow Springs, at least for me. I ran a 1:10.580 lap in NFS Live US Tour - Willow Springs, to get on the leaderboards.

Hi!
What Assists do you use on Z06? The Stock Z06 I have a lot of problems to keep it steady without Assists and with my present Controller Settings...

What Assists do you use on Z06? The Stock Z06 I have a lot of problems to keep it steady without Assists and with my present Controller Settings For career mode, I had them on, with traction control set to low, to deal with the variety of cars in the game. Don't set traction control to high, as this will mess up the launch. I can turn off the assists with the cars I know well, and there isn't much difference. I don't know about the stock Z06, but the works Z06, isn't that difficult to drive with assists off. Since I'm using twin joysticks, my steering won't be as precise, but my throttle and brake usage will be better than typical gaming pedals.
