Micrak I saw your video and you are doing the racing line perfectly. I think you should change final drive ratio to a bit lower - change to auto clutch off and lower aero to 10 or 11. You are not getting the benefit from using nos when you stay so long in high red RPM with auto clutch on. You should use nos as you accelerate with low rpm and then change gear - tapping the nos button. You will without a doubt beat my time if you do it like that, because you were doing that run in your video with a perfect trajectory. My run was with small mistakes, so I can improve a little I think. Great run Micrak. Poul 4.09.470 - Grnkjr0 - 2010 Shelby GT500 - 10.00 - 2.01.998

Thank you very Poul,I changed the clutch, one less aero, final drive i like my old .I think, have to learn to deal with the NOS that is my biggest weakness.Last night I tested my setup online, you will see a new gt500 fan in front of you ;)the beast works cleanly on all tracks!!!slow tight turns, he does not like,no wonder, with the torque! AAHH !!my own target I've done, I'm under 4.10,now it's all adding 4.09.990 -micrak - 2010 Shelby GT500 - 10.00 - 2.02,270

Getting under 4.10 was also my target time. Now I know I can do under 4.09, but it will take a lot of runs to do so I am afraid - or luck.
I am not sure which tuning you used for your video run? In the video it looks to me you used a tall final gear ratio like 5.29, but on last page you posted 6.35? I use 5.59 with caster set to 4 and steering lock to 27. Of course this depends on the degree of rotation on your wheel - mine is 201. Besides some smaller differences in bumper settings our tunings are very much alike - though I also used these settings:
Limited Slip Acceleration Lock: 85 Limited Slip Deceleration Lock: 0 Limited Slip Preload: 130

It looks like I will be able to give you a bit of competition at last Poul. Thought I had lost my feel there for a bit. I have spent the last week or so tweaking the controller file to get the FFB to work the way I like it. rFactor has a wonderful FFB plugin called Leo FFB and it enabled you to really feel the car, when it is about so slide or lock up and that is what was throwing me in shift. I could not understand why all the cars just under steered into the corner unless you threw it sideways and powered through sideways which is not the fastest way to get around a race track. So thanks to a friend in our local racing league who adapted a dll file to enable a better FFB response. I am happy to make this file available to any in ISRC how would like to try it. Having said that it is not just a matter of pasting the file in the game directory. I will give my wheel settings as a starting point but you will have many hours in front with testing to get it the way you like it. Also it will not work for all cars so set it up for the ones you use on a regular basis. It does tend to make the suspension tuning obsolete apart from steering as I found no difference in times as I altered suspension setups. It does however deal with the mad Shift under steer with just normal under steer if you enter a corner too fast but you can feel it happening. Below are the results. I can go faster but not while recording as my FPS drops to 25 with FRAPS running and throws my timing out so I missed a couple of apexes. 4m09.440 - Wizard70 - 2010 Shelby 500 - 9.98 - 2m02.380 www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNMN-5U30lU

So are you saying you used a 3rd party file and dropped it in your NFS directory file and you made tuning the suspension obsolete? THAT IS MOST SURDENLY NOT ALLOWED IN THESE PBRC`S In your video I could not even hear the tires having any contact with the track - not even when braking We need the moderator for these PBRCĀ“s or Jussi to post a comment about this. Poul is right. Modifying the game is not allowed. Everyone needs to play the same game, if we want these competitions to be racing competitions instead of modifying competitions. These rules only allow modifying the controller files... Rules for Shift PBRC races 1. NO cheating of course - no trainers, no hacking, no wall riding, no cutting corners (unless game allows), no using car with higher rating than race requirements. No changing game files in NFS Shift directories - except for controller files - changing controller files are allowed. 2. 2 Pictures, 1. of car and rating. 2. total time with car in picture. 3. Written conformation BELOW pics. Example - 1.00.00 - aarog5606 - chevette - 22.00 (in this order) 4. If you cant post a time before deadline, then post written conformation before deadline and post pics, matching written conformation in a new reply, within 24 hours. 5. Winner must post car parts and setup in Inner Circle. 6. Everyone participating in PBRC races must participate in Inner Circle. Meaning - if you race weekly and never post setups or controller setups or ingame settings or give any feedback, then you are subject to lose your Inner Circle privlages. We are a community and should want to help others. Just use common sense. 7. Videos are not required unless - you achieve a time that other top racers know is not possible. Please, Wizard, try to find a way to get the game working for you without modifying it. You could ask Mic for some help, he got exactly the same time as you did and I guess his game is in "right out of the box" fashion as it should be. Jussi

Very nice time Micrak. No I am not gonna try to do under 4.09. I prefer to watch Appaloosa with Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen on TV in a few minutes, so good luck.

Jussi Jussi it clearly states in the rules that the changing of the controller files is allowed. That is all I have done is modify the dinput8.dll which controls the FFB for the G25. As for the lack of tire noise it is because the wind roar becomes louder and everything else softer when I record. Believe me the tire noise drives me nuts. But if we have some unhappy members that's cool I will withdraw the entry and from PBRC. B

In America we have an expression called Apple for Apple and orange for orange, meaning we all have the same advantage... just like in NASCAR the only difference is your driving technique and your cars tune.
The controller file that are allowed to (edit) but NOT replace,
Editing that controller file may give you a 3 or 4 % advantage.... maybe!!
