Hey all I thought perhaps it was best not to highjack Jussis thread in which i hope he will do a review and share his progress in the game. People can post in this thread any technical problem they might have or just a general opinion on what they think of the game so far. I think that if you set the AI difficulty to hard, you sure need to rerace some of the tracks to get on podium. I just finished the first car battle in career and I was driving the BMW. I thought that it was nearly impossible to win that event I have not had any technical problems so far and everything runs great. I am not so sure this games graphics looks as good as Pro Street, but it is OK I guess. Poul

I just installed the game and it does NOT work. When starting it always crashes to desktop right after the safe driving message. I already tried several things I found on other forums like compatibility mode and other stuff but nothing made any difference so far. I have Windows XP with all the latest drivers. Looks like that was Shift for me... And tomorrow I will drive to a lan event where I wanted to play the game the whole weekend.

I played for a few hours last night, finally, and i didnt want to stop! I love it! The game runs great, so far. The graphics are awesome. The cars look alot better than Prostreet in my opinion. Didnt have any problems setting up the G25, still need to tweek a little though. I like the menus and layout. Actually the only 2 things i dont like is the long loading times and no way to message our friends(unless im missing something). I agree Poul, i turned the AI cars to medium with handling on Pro(no assists). Though after a few upgrades, i was winning pretty easily. I think im going to adjust the AI back to hard when i get back from vacation. Of course i recieved the game the day before i leave Now i have to wait 10 days to play again Cya guys in a few weeks Aaron

I have fixed my problem. It was my gfx card GeForce 7950 GT which is not supported by the game although it says on the dvd case that you need 7800 or higher. Nobody with a 7950 will be able to play the game.

I have a question to everybody. When shifting gears are you all seeing - like me... that it shifts to neutral between the gear shifts? I am getting a huge rpm drop each time.
I use G25 with manual and auto clutch. When auto clutch is off the rpm rises before the actual shift.

Here is his answer: "Auto clutch does NOT give faster gear changes in GTR2, but it gives you less control of the car under braking (since the game automatically blips the throttle for you in each down-shift)." I dont know if its the same in Shift, but their is a good chance of the answer being yes... Cya! Rogério

Hey Rogerio
I have tried to set auto clutch off and it seems that it is better and in fact I reached higher speed on a track I was reracing in order to get on podium. I am still racing with AI difficulty level set to hard, but I had to get better car control with traction set to high - or is it set to low - can not remember.

Hey Poul
If the auto cluth is set off u get better speed and control of the car...and there is no RPM loss as u said...i was practising Autopolis with the Marserati in quick race improved my time by 1.3sec acceleration in imba

It will take me forever to do it with all assists off and I really wanna progress in this game. I am currently just visiting tier 2 - where I bought myself a Cayman S - not so sure I would recommend buying that car. It really has a bad temper and is hard to control. The problem is that to get fully control and best possible handling/performance of the car you perhaps need all available upgrades and then you have all ready moved to tier 3. Poul

Hi,
i play it since yesterday. For me its impossible to play it without assistants. i have to turn abs/esp on tc=low.
i don't have a analog throttle/brake.
the worst thing for me is drifting there...
i unlocked stage 5. NFS live but i am already playing with medium difficulty.
