Colin Chapman was a man who had a different view on things. He never played by other peoples' rules, he invented his own, especially when it came to his cars... Now, in the hands of Malaysian businessmen, Lotus got a new style but kept the old heart: ESPRIT, ELAN, ELISE, ELITE, ETERNE! Sounds like iPod, iPad, iPhone,... lol LOTUS E-Generation But, jokes aside, Lotus is one of my favorite auto brands, and many of you, same as myself, will be more than happy to witness the Rebirth of the Legend! www.lotuscars.com/en/future-carswww.youtube.com/watch?v=B7LNKQxurqMwww.lotuscars.com/en/book-test-drive

Don't you dare to even indirectly associate something awesome as Lotus to something like... ahem, *cough* Apple.
No really, most street cars Lotus has made had a name starting with an E. They had the Elite as far back as 1957. Except for Eterne, all those names have been used on an earlier model before. And even in the current range all there models have these kinds of names. Europa, Evora and Exige. Even with the 2-Eleven track day car they managed to squeeze in an E.
But anyway, the cars. They look like they might eat kids (Hey, I think I just solved the search for reliable and renewable energy). I just hope that these cars don't sacrifice handling to reach these speeds. For all I know current Lotus pretty much pwn just about anything on the track, even though in power they all fall short of 200 bhp.

Hey Scud, we all know that Lotus cars are fast, but HOW FAST they are IN COMPARISON to the competitors? To answer this question I consulted well-known German sportAUTO journal: For more detailed and up to date info use this link: www.sportauto-online.de/rundenzeiten-supertests-1062778.html(you can also sort there by car manufacturer/fahrzeug)
