Ok I take back most of what I said about this game, My save file issue has to do with my spamware security system and not a problem with the game. The game has stunning veiws and landscapes, I think this game might keep me happy for the next six months until Shift2 comes out. Pro's; 1. Night Racing 2. Racing in the fog 3. Racing in the rain "Even thunder storms" 4. Racing in the snow and on ice. 5. Ali cars don't try to take you out. 6. allot less traffic. 7. Racing in the country instead of in the city 8. Plus you can bump one another without crashing Cons; 1. You can't select manual shift 2. No tuning. 3. It's a duplicte of WO in the sense that it has cops & Ali cars The picture's below is ur new racing lobby and I also added a few other pictures, night, fog and snow...

I have to say im suprised. I really didnt think i was going to like this game, but so far, its not bad. The tracks are great, i have missed going 200mph+ for miles at a time. The graphics are very nice and the game runs very smooth, frame rates stay at 60fps with max graphics. The handling isnt the greatest, but i finally found decent wheel settings to try to eliminate the deadzone at center of wheel - 125% centerspring, 96 degree rotation and 60% sensitivity - everything else at 100%, still could be better. No manual trans!?! wtf! In a racing game... Online play is good, but no chat again...

I am not sure I am going to buy another racing game without manual gear shifting. I like the pictures you upload Sunny - looks fantastic and hopefully Shift 2 will look even better. Can we do PBRC´s in this game - otherwise I am not sure I´m interested. Did they cap fps to 60 in this game? Otherwise it´s because you have Vsync enabled.....

Yes we could do PBRC here,,,Its a really good game and I like it... manual shift would make this game perfect and not being able to chat in a game lobby.. there is no wall riding in this game..... however I am still dealing with my game file going back to default everyday, I removed that folder from the backup and restore selection and I also removed from any security threats.... is there anything about an SSD drive that I don't know about that might cause this.... I'm stumped I am not sure I am going to buy another racing game without manual gear shifting. I like the pictures you upload Sunny - looks fantastic and hopefully Shift 2 will look even better. It's a Criterion made game, what did you expect. Don't worry, it will be fun arcade onlune racer and Shift 2 is already just around the corner. Jussi

Can we do PBRC´s in this game I was going to post some when I got my game, but you guys can start without me if you want. Just follow our traditional PBRC rules. I already made the PBRC board for this game a while ago: isrc2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nfshppbrc Jussi

Well, i temporarily have a normal version here until my Limited Edition arrives and i have some comments as well:
1st: no manual gearbox WTF!?? 2nd: lightyears of deadzone on my G25 WTF!?? 3rd: stop-motion graphics on minimum requirements WTF!??
First quick conclusion: WTF!??

No manual transmission sounds pretty fail indeed (all NFS games had M/T, even after they became shit). At least the reviews and comments are a lot better now than they have been. I might get this once I get some cash again. One thing worries me though. "Stop motion graphics on minimum requirement." Bandit, are you for real? That probably means I won't be able to run this. And since EA is so shitty towards PC players nowadays there's no way to test this...
...BECAUSE WE DIDN'T GET A F**KING DEMO!

Yah well, u see, i get this frightningly familiar feeling i've been through such hastle with a game when it comes to performance and it reminds me of Need for Speed - Porsche some years ago.. Back then my fairly descent graphics card performed okay for this game but on certain tracks the graphics got all bad ala stop-motion and now i get the same thing again here..
My HD4870 handles the game -okay- on most tracks but when there's alot of trees involved (thinks back to Swartzwald) it all of a sudden gets very stop-motion, like 10 fps or something..
Back then i was so enthausiastic about Porsche, i decided to upgrade my graphics card but now, after having played the demo on the PS3, i get this creepy feeling this is yet another Need for Speed game designed and created to work on consoles and then (badly) ported to PC.. (sounds familiar?)
I'm not sure how to continue for now and i would hate myself for getting it for PS3 instead of PC, but that what i'm feeling right now; Why o why should i get it for PC if i can get similar graphics and the use of my G25 on the Playstation 3..?
One thing is for sure: my PC does not suck, so what does ... ?

I got the game yesterday and had time for one race only. My initial feeling is good, and my initial feelings usually turn out right.

I think the reason why it doesn't have manual transmission is everyone has the same advantage, You can calibrate a controller and re-assign button but there is no option for down shift or up shift... do you think the programmers didn't think about using manual trans?? Poul there is no VSync option... Bandit there a readme file inside the support folder inside the game folder..... more pro's and cons Pro's 1. I think who ever buy the game will like it allot... 2. Racing at night in a thunder storm. pitch black outside, lighting bolt filling the shy. fantastic scenery's 3. Cops use EMP "Electro magnet Pulse" "this is pretty cool chit" Con's 1. Remember Prostreet they made you watch in slow motion as you're car crashed into someone... well this game has it "boring crashes" You get to watch it roll and roll in slow motion,,

I'm going to buy a legal copy of fraps, I want you guys to see some of this stuff, Poul question there was a problem that you mentioned awhile ago with fraps on a SSD drive? Do you remember? Or should I just install it on my HHD drive instead... Pro's 1. this game has 18 wheelers in it, not many but a few. 2. leaves falling from the tree's. just like in the fall 3. Fighter jet's flying over head.. all kind of air traffic buzzing around... Poul you would really like this game,,, You can't go 6 months playing WO
