This makes no sense ... cash reward for winning race $126, durability (repair) fee for running that race $150. For a tier 3 car the fee is $250. Version 5 reduced the rewards for single player races yet again and now the durability (repair) fee cost more than what most tracks pay out for single player wins.

It seemed to me that the purple Charger R/T would be no faster than a street tuned Charger R/T from version 4. So far, there's no way to make the Charger R/T as fast as it was in the Betas. Example video of the faster charger: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRf5zV5w05U&hd=1There was some post at EA forums about some performnace upgrade that ended up reducing acceleration when actually tested, but I can't find it anymore. Anyway all of this is kind moot right now. Race parts are virtually non-existant if you don't buy card packs with boost (drop rate is less than 1 in 100 for a single part, which may be useless), and the pro parts apparently aren't even in those card packs. One of the fastest players, Slitchi, spend 1.2 million in game cash on 24 mystery packs (120 cards), and got 1 useful part, and 2 useless parts. Many players have reported doing over 100 events and getting 0 parts. Jtace from racerplanet mentioned that EA will be adjusting drops rates, but not to expect much change until early 2011.
