I have made some damn silly mistakes when purchasing cars in NFS World. Even worse is that I spent money upgrading them too. Now can somebody who read or knows from own experience tell me, which car in each tier is the fastest? I have bought the 350Z, and upgraded it too, but upgraded the car is completely different and more difficult to keep on track. I then decided to sell it and tried the R32 - upgraded that one as well, but it is too slow reaching its top speed and I will sell that one too when I can afford a better one - but which one should I choose? Any help is highly appreciated, since I am not going to have to do 100 races again, to earn the money to buy a new car. Poul

Because of limited car slots and the time it takes to sell and buy a new car, it's difficult to compare cars in NFS World. This seems to be the general consensus:
Tier 1 - Silvia (pro upgrade). I don't know what the 2nd fastest tier 1 car is.
Tier 2 - Elise (pro upgrade) - it's light, which can be an issue in multiplayer races with traffic, traffic magnet, and other players ramming. I don't know what the 2nd fastest tier 2 car is.
Tier 3 - BMW dominates the nfs-s stats leaderboards, lots of grip, but not a lot of high speed accleration. It's responds to nitrous more than the other cars, so it ends up being fastest over all. Based on leaderboard, the Z06 is next, a lot of acceleration, but low grip and it will spin out or roll over if you hit or ride a wall. The Audi R8 show up next on the leaderboard. On some tracks where cornering is a big factor the tier 2 Elise ends up being the second fastest car.
On a side note, the fastest way to level up and earn cash is to do pursuits. The tier 1 Silvia is good for pursuits (probably better than the Elise), so you may want to skip getting a tier 2 car unless you want to do multiplayer races at the few tracks restricted to tier 2.

I've told the producers that I know a good bunch of grown men who'd be willing to spend plenty of real life currency in the game, if there was a possibility to buy cars, upgrades and additional garage space without having to grind countless hours for in game currency. Why does EA not want our money? Jussi

I rented the Lotus for one day, and in every race the game down graded my car to compete with the other cars in the room. So if I was racing with a bunch of Teir 1 cars I was only as fast as the slowest teir 1 car, So even though I had a fast Lotus the game balance out all the cars to be fair and compete in the same race together. The only time my Lotus was fast, was if I was racing with a car faster than me... So, you think the game has the performance matching form Most Wanted implemented? Jussi

Thx Jeff, I will save up and buy the Elise. Note that it costs $500,000 and level 35 to buy Elise and upgrade it to pro level (street upgrade unlocks at level 25). Also with 30 more cars on the way, there may be new dominant cars. So, you think the game has the performance matching form Most Wanted implemented? I haven't played multi-player since the betas, but during the betas, I didn't notice any handicapping of cars. Players could run BMWs versus tier 1 cars and the BMW remained as fast as ever. NFS World is supposed to use the match-making to equalize the cars, and the leaderboards at nfs-s stats show that there are dominant cars, whicih wouldn't happen unless those times were set when all players had the same cars. Maybe this has changed since the betas though. Most Wanted performance matching was mis-named. It appeared to make all cars have performance similar to BMW M3 GTR, but without adjusting the gearing, so some cars ended up badly geared, and the faster Carerra GT and Elise were made slower. It always did this so even if everyone in a race had the Carerra GT with same upgrades, it still slowed all of them down to BMW M3 GTR level.

The fastest way to earn money is not doing pursuits, it´s racing multiplayer at Diamond & Union if you are fast enough. I am racing that one using a Silvia (S15) with Street, and normally (without hitting traffic), I can do that in 1.45 - 1.46 using only one or two nitrous, and that is sometimes fast enough to win. Then you get (depending on number of participants) between 700-900 Rep.

The fastest way to earn money is not doing pursuits, it´s racing multiplayer at Diamond & Union if you are fast enough. That changes as you level up. The amount of cash and rep for pursuits increases with driver level, while existing tracks pay the same for multi-player races, only the new higher level tracks that you unlock as you level up pay more than existing tracks. The main advantage of doign pursuits is you generally level up quicker, especially if you use the terminator and most wanted skills. As you level up, you get more cash from pursuits as well. Another advantage, is you're not waiting for other players. After each pursuit, you can go to the safehouse and back to cause the cops to spawn faster. If you do instant evade pursuits, by ramming a cop near a cooldown spot, like the one near the lighthouse in Point Camden, you can do a pursuit once every 40 seconds or so, including the time it takes to go to safehouse and back (spawns cops), ram a cop, drive to cooldown spot, ... The other option is to reset onto the ramp at the bus terminal and park on the busses and wait a bit over 4 minutes, then back part way down on the ramp so cooldown starts at about 4:20, resulting in a 5:00+ pursuit, which is max cash for a pursuit. While parked, you can leave and do chores or other stuff.

Jeff tell me who much rep and cash you can earn in one hour then? Doing a track like Diamond & Union I can be in winning and out again in about 4-5 min. That gives me 971 rep - and 1700 cash with 6 people in. You do not have to wait for players to join - there are always players on that track (at least this morning on the North American server). I just leveled up from 18-19, and it really did not take much time.
4 players give you 789 rep & 1381 cash. 5 players 850 rep and can´t remember how much cash. 6 players give you 971 rep and 1700 cash.

It took me 2 hours to go from level 19 to 20 and I made a little over 50,000 cash. 8 players at that track gives 1221 rep and 2137 in cash. Poul

Jeff tell me who much rep and cash you can earn in one hour then? I'm at level 50, so 0 rep now. Cash for a 5 minute pursuit is $4140 (with no cash skills or amplifiers), at level 50. Cash max is $1140 + $60 per level, so level 10 max is $1740. Level 15 max would be $2040, level 20 max would be $2340, ... level 40 max would be $3540, level 45 max = $3840, level 50 max = $4140. I'm not sure about rep anymore. At level 10, the rep max is a bit over 1500 without any rep skills or amplifiers. At higher levels, and with terminator and most wanted skills, you can get over 10,000 rep for a 6 to 7 minute pursuit with about 15 cops disabled. For an 18 second pursuit, you get $228 + $12 per level. Level 10 = $348, level 15 = $408, lvl 20 = $468, level 45 = $768, level 50 = $828. You can run one of these about every 45 seconds. At level 15, this would be about $32,600 / hour, actually a bit more depending on how many cash cards you get from lucky draw. It's also a good way to get a lot of powerups.
