For some players the Beta essentially ended on Sunday.
There's a new bug where a players account gets corrupted, and NFS world can no longer post results after a race, displays failed to send results after a pursuit, lucky draw menu skipped so no power ups, and no rep is updated. The friends list get stuck with circular icon and never completes. The ranking portion of news never completes. Upon restart, cash will be updated, but only a portion of what should have been won.
Rep and powerups are never increased, so this essentially ends the career for all drivers on a players account.
This started happening last Sunday, at least that was the first reporting of this bug. It happened to my account Wednesday. I sent an email to NFS Kirk about this, but haven't receive a response yet.
I did get a response regarding speed boost hacks, including a pair of youtube videos with links to the download file for the hack. I suspect more of these hacks will show up on some Russian gaming forums, where I've seen stuff like this before. (Note that wrecord.com works with cracked versions of NFS Shift, also from a Russian web site).

This game is turning out to be a piece of junk. Nothing works with an endless bug list....EA more interested in the graphic details of the city they are building rather than the functionality of a real racing game.....
