You just have to keep dissing TDU for it's handling to cover up the fact that EA has released nothing but total shyte for the past three years, don't you Jussi? Well, at least I have been able to succesfully play EA's shyte, unline Atari's fantastic game that was ruined by idiotic handling model. Jussi

Well, at least I have been able to succesfully play EA's shyte... That says more about your skill level than it says about the games. See, what I don't understand is that you seem to be bashing every racing game in which the player is required to actually steer and use the brakes. Yet of all NFS games Porsche Unleashed is one of your favorites; obnoxious handling and complete lack of sense of speed included. (...) The only thing really good about having that police car in this game is the ability to blow it to smithereens. You can see the designers had a real sense for aerodynamics; 'yeah, it's a bit less square than a cube!'Now, here's something I'm interested in. How does the in-game car performance size up to their real life counterparts? That was a feature which was taken into account in all classic NFS, before Underground ruined it and nobody gave a shit anymore.

I never said anything bad about GRID and Shift and in my opinion those games do require some steering and braking. But you wouldn't know anything about that, since you have not been playing any new racing games for ages. It ain't my fault, that Atari ruined their otherwise excellent game with shitty handling. Actually I have played GRID so there goes half your argument. The handling on that game is like a sponge, which just took a bit of time getting used to. As for Shift, you're right. I don't know. All hail Jussi, the all-seeing superbeing who knows what I do all the time twenty-four-seven and is expert on all racing games ever made (let's see if you can spot the sarcasm in that one). (...) Take two for getting this thread back on topic: does in-game performance (somewhat) resemble real-life or is that unknown? PS F**k your autocensor too. Spelling 'shyte' with a y is fucking pimp, since spelling it with an i seems to be prohibited but still it's perfectly okay to call someone a bitch... ...bitch!

Did you remember to take your medication today, friend? Jussi PS. My opinion is, that the handling in this game does not (even somewhat) resemble real-life. It is an arcade racing game. (...but what do I know.)

Sounds like Scud needs to take an anger management class.... Everyone knows Hot Pursuit is going to be a flop, We already have WO with Police cars in it, buts not enough let go back to our roots and give them two worthless azz racing game, all in the same year.... EA thinking you guys like cops so we'll cram the cop chases down your throat. We'll be all cop out by 2011, waiting for a real racing game TD2 at least I hope As for Shift, you're right. I don't know. Jussi, why can you say bitch, but you can't say sh*t? I dunno why you don't like TDU. You ended up with like $13mill or more didn't you? Why do you hate the handling it so much? It's a serious question. What about the way the cars drove didn't you like? I admit, it's a bit of work with a keyboard, but i finished the game with a KB. Regarding the actual topic, HP cars, lol, if this is arcade, then it's even more stupid that we have 10 of the same car. They'll all handle the same!

I dunno why you don't like TDU. You ended up with like $13mill or more didn't you? Yes, I got all houses and enough money to buy all cars I want... Why do you hate the handling it so much? It's a serious question. What about the way the cars drove didn't you like? I admit, it's a bit of work with a keyboard, but i finished the game with a KB. It just was more frustrating than fun. Even with faster graphics card and good FPS. I do want to relax when I play, TDU was not relaxing at all unlike other racing games like Shift or Grid or just about anything except of course racing games made by www.simbin.se and www.10tacle.be. Those are way too simulatorish for me to be fun. Jussi

Sounds like Scud needs to take an anger management class.... Looks like you need to take your head oud of Jussi's ass before you turn into TheBrownMonster. Did you remember to take your medication today, friend? Jussi the great half-god superbeing also turns out to be a doctor. You never cease to amaze me. No hate here, you're right. I do need an Advil... you're giving me a headache. Seriously dude, if anyone of us needs medicine it's you. There are drugs called antipsychotics to treat your delusion, because you must be out of your mind if you actually think I'm your friend. For the umpteenth time, I never asked for an opinionated view of how arcade the handling model will be like. Nobody can give any conclusive statement on that part because none of us has actually played it. Being arcade and copying real-life statistics aren't mutually exclusive as is proven by the classic Hot Pursuit and High Stakes games, and even Need For Speed 2 which is as arcade as racing games get. What I'm getting at is that these games - while being arcade - take the performance of the real car into account. For example, the Ferrari F50 did 325 km/h and the McLaren F1 over 380 km/h in NFS2 (which is the same as the real cars). Yet the game is without a doubt arcade. Same goes for Hot Pursuit 2. There was just no way in hell that you could take a VX220 and keep up with a Carrera GT. Ever since performance tuning was introduced in Underground that little defining detail went straight out of the window. The question is - now tuning won't be part of the game - if anyone knows whether performance and characteristics of the real cars will actually be taken into consideration again. I'll try. Bitch motherfucker shit in your face dicksuck the lol cockjoke. Shit looks better now.

Nobody can give any conclusive statement on that part because none of us has actually played it. I did play it with other community leaders at gamescom and since I was able to finish 3rd out of 8 racers using PS-controller, I can confirm that it is really really easy to play and as you so kindly pointed out earlier my driving skills are close to nonexistent, which leads us to conclusion, that this game has to be arcade. It wasn't easy with the keyboard. But for me, i see things like that as a challenge. I may swear and yell and get up and walk away before i break my monitor, but i'll come back to it, take a deep breath and get on with it, lol. I like a challenge. It was certainly easier with the wheel. Even with the learning curve getting all the settings right, and getting the feel of everything.

...my driving skills are close to nonexistent, which leads us to conclusion, that this game has to be arcade. Yes, I know that by now. But what I'm getting at is that there's more than just arcade or just a sim. Like how fast could your car go? How fast did it do 0-100 km/h? Now compare that to what the actual car can really do. Do the two match up (like in Hot Pursuit 2 and every NFS that preceeded it) or was there no relationship whatsoever?
