Holy crap. I've been out of this for so long and just a few minutes ago I decided to see what's up. This news... is f*&$ing amazing! Do you know how long I've been waiting for this? Are they bringing back showcases, real life cutscenes and cheesy epic-movie-trailer-narrator man? If so, I'm buying. Don't care if my computer runs it or not. Hell, I'm buying two. Oh please let it have pursuits. Just hope they can deliver though... If not, I'll personally travel to their headquarters and crap all over it! Offtopic-PS: Jussi, still need vector graphics program?

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what Criterion comes up with. Hope they put out some real info soon, not just these half a sentence long tweets. Jussi Offtopic: I found this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inkscape program on the Internet.

interesting,,, What I like the best about hot pursuit was that the cops would chase you while you were racing.... add two or three cops in a race with 8 racers kind of makes it interesting... I also think they had police helicopters in Hot Pursuit

Hot Pursuit was indeed the most fun Need For Speed game ever. Would be nice to see them bring it back. But you see the thing is, I'll do like every year. I won't hype about the game, till it's released. Because EA always seems to get people all excited, only for them to be disappointed afterwards. And to me, the only way this game will truly be successfull, is if: they use the same island and possibly expand it, add freeroam, mabe a bit of car customisation, more vehicles, and leave everything else as is. Because knowing EA, I wouldn't be surprised if they add in unnecessary features, or remove some of the best parts of the game.

I never played hot pursuit isnt that more like burnout??? Somewhat, but not quite. Burnout is really aimed at destruction, but Hot Pursuit is not. Hot Pursuit basically deals with driving top-end exotic cars while being hunted down by cops throughout the race. And the "career" mode has a series of challenges which includes races, pursuits and even delivering cars to their owners on time without crashing them.

I hate to say it (and i'm probably in the minority):
Is it just me? or do the trailers make it look like it wont quite live up to the original....?
Sorry to be the voice of cynicism lol

I've seen one of the trailers and I feel ya. Analyzing what I saw, I kinda like the car selection so far. No girl thingy VW Golf in sight, so that's good. And the environment looks more wild like it should. And I also like the idea of two career modes for both cops and racers. Although that's where they should look out though. I just hope that they won't slap on a corny storyline to ruin the game...
Watching the EA conference at E3 on YouTube now. I like what the dude is saying so far (and the pursuit looked cool). Let's just pray they can deliver.

It's "official" now... Hot Pursuit won't have customization, therefore it will take the series 10 years back, despite the fact it has open world. Jussi
