The boot priority key on most computers is the (F10).... and don't forget to run some benchmarks on the old hard drive.. buddy boy
Poul don't you have some HD benchmark links that he can run first...I'd like to see the performance differents between SATAII SSD drive compared to SATA drive...

Well, they were sold out , so ill have to order one. Im in no hurry anyway. Thought about getting Blur or Split Second while i was there, but i dont think i would like either game. Thats not my knid of racing. Did get GTA Liberty city stories though. Hopefully will be as good as GTA4. Sunny, we just did a benchmark for hard drives... They say the first thing to go with age is your memory.

Yea right,, like trying to find your old HD benchmarks in some thread far far away.... Are these new benchmarks or something from two months ago....big guy?
Make sure you post your new performance results on this thread so this old man doesn't have to go and find it somewhere else.
You can't talk about it being faster unless you can compare the results.......

A minor difference..... before After Actually a BIG difference. I can restart the computer and be clicking away in less than 30 seconds! Installed windows, all updates and all most recent drivers in less than an hour. I did exactly as in the video Poul posted. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox6DHlPQI-w&feature=fvsrIs well worth the $200 for me.

I was expecting a faster performance than that,,, It must mean that you're CPU performance it now you're bottle neck. I think you need a faster CPU

Those numbers dont do justice.
How long does it take for the "100 most recent posts" to pop up for you? Before i had to wait 10 seconds or so, now it pops up instantly, no waiting whatsoever.

Poul, snappier would be a good description. Do you really have to wait for the "100 most recent posts?
Sunny, no new cpu for this pc. Im done upgrading this one(execpt memory - see below).
Something else where the SSD seems to make a big difference, when i upload a pic to photobucket, before it would take anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds or more to upload a pic. I uploaded pics for the Tokyo PBRC race and it took less than 10 seconds for both pics! Thats nice!
Thought i screwed something up yesterday, pc wouldnt load Windows. Luckily it was a bad memory stick. Have new memory coming today.

I am not saying that the SSD is not fast, I guess I was expecting a higher benchmark number... as far as your upload speed I can upload 4 or 5 pictures in less than 2 or 3 seconds. On the other hand I am uploading (*.jpg) and not (*.bmp) When I get around to building my new PC.. I will have a SSD in mine...
