Hey
Yes I meant two 5770, but it would cost some money and buying Aaron´s card sure would be better if he would sell it "cheap".
Why not ask Aaron if you could try out the card and see if it gives a boost in performance? then negotiate a price afterwords? Remember to get a SLI bridge if you do not own one. Your PSU will be up for the job for sure - no worries.
And Paul why do you think there is micro stutter?
Sunny I all ready wrote in this thread the things I would buy if it was me that was going to build a new rig. Now I am off to play some Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and I just LOVE being an evil Sith.

I' plan on buying a better video card soon after the build......

Well Sunny you decide, but to upgrade your PC with a new processor, motherboard, memory, graphics card AND a SSD sure would mean there is nothing left of those 1000$.
Paul is running in SLI or Crossfire not the idea to have as high fps as possible? If your monitors refresh rate is 60 Hz - then you only need 60+ fps to avoid it. Another thing is that I think running a much faster CPU and then two slower graphics cards in SLI or crossfire I think would mean that there could be input lag - but it has been a while since I read about this and things surely can not be a bad these days as it used to be. More important is if the game you play has proper support for multi GPU.

O" I won't be upgrading my PC ,,,I'll be building a new computer from scratch, the only thing I can swap over is the video card, I still have an older NVidia 7800 card to put back in... I'll start pricing out ur list........ Does that CPU have fan that comes with it or Do I need to get one? Sunny what will you be buying? Why not wait a few days and let us see what Aaron has to say about upgrading to a SSD - if he thinks it´s worth it. I strongly suggest you buy a smal SSD for your operating system. I would buy the i5 750 Lynnfield processor - it is without a doubt the best price/performance deal at the moment, unless you are into some serious overclocking. The i5 750 I linked comes with a heatsink and fan - yes. What motherboard do you want? Remember there are so many out there with no option of SLI and Crossfire, so watch out. But make a list and let us see what you decide.

A grand isnt going to go too far if you want really good components. The motherboard and processor will take over half that easily. They have some decent deals on MB - CPU combo packages at newegg. I have the HD4890 and for what i paid for it, you can get the HD5770 now(add 20 bucks). I offered the GTS250 because i know $1000 isnt going to go far for what you want and 2 of them in SLI should get some pretty decent frame rates for no more money you would have in them. You would have to make sure the MB supports SLI(Nvidia) though and not crossfire(ATI). My opinion, i would spend the money and get the MB and processor you really want, you can always buy the peripherals a little at a time since you already have a working pc. I havent ordered my SSD yet, waiting for credit card payment to go through. Should have gone through by now though, i havent checked. I am going to order it tonight if payment is confirmed. Im not going to overnight it either, so give me till the end of this week or next, probably next, last time i ordered from newegg it took 10 days.

You're right old buddy, 1K not going to go very far,,, I figured I'd be able to purchase the most expensive parts first. Plus the shipping cost
The Case $110.00 Mother Boa $200.00 CPU $200.00 PSU $120.00 memory $110.00 4GB Windows 7 $110.00 optical drive $30.00
I might have too wait on the SSD drive till later, I was thinking of breaking my RAID configuration apart on my old system then I would have three separated 500GB hard drives, Use one for the new build and the other two can go back in this older system.... Plus I need to cost a Fan solution...

I did find this combo deal with chassis & PSU solution for $189.00 However after owning this chassis that I selected. I hate it,,, the power button always sticks. plus not allot of ventilation www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133175 Plus I like Poul's case selection with those two fans in front and one on the top. PSU on the bottom, this combo case is close to your selection, question for Poul your case doesn't have lights on the fans does it.... I bought a replacement fan one time that flashed on and off light a strobe light. It drove me crazy. I leave my PC on at night,,, it's hard to sleep with all those light s flashing on and off, it's like sleeping at a rock concert. I can handle color fans just don't want them to flash on and off

Great combo Poul. That Gigabyte MB is what i was going to suggest, your not going to get much better for the price from the research ive been doing.
Ordered SSD last night, hopefully be here at the end of the week.

I like to compare apple to apple's on an even comparasion
CPU Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor $289.99 Pros: Ok so I used to think Intel was the antichrist. I think I have an AMD t-shirt somewhere...time for a wardrobe change. This processor is amazing. I can run everything I want to on my computer all at once on high settings, quickly as if nothing else was running. Breath-taking. If computer stuff excites you, get this processor.
Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor $199.99 Pros: Super efficient/cool, fast at stock speeds, even faster when overclocked (and it overclocks like MAD), turbo mode (makes it better than most pre-lynnfield i7s in single-thread performance) - which improves performance of single threaded apps by disabling inactive cores & clocking the active core by TDP of the cpu. That means at stock settings (2.66ghz (133x20)) with turbo enabled, you can have single thread performance from a ~3.2ghz core (133x20) - google "Intel Turbo" if you want to learn more (it's a very nice feature). I can't get over how wickedly efficient this thing is!
You're not likely to have any trouble getting any Lynnfield cpu above 3.6ghz - providing you've got an aftermarket cooler for it
