Interesting review, Poul! If Xbitlabs do this job for long time and they testing with consistant methods, I have no problems to believe their measured results. I thought the H100 is better than this Antec because of the larger radiator.
For OC'd i7 950 I would go with Noctua NH-U12P SE2, its cheaper than D14 and it will do this job just fine (for OC to 4.2GHz). Also depends a lot on the thermal compound and if the base is flat. Giants like Thermalright Silver Arrow or Phantec PH-TC14PE are good for extremely clocked CPUs and they aren't so friendly to the motherboard, with weight around 1.5kg. I'll be affraid of damage in longer use.

Cheaper is not necessary better....You get what you paid for... this Antec 920 keeps my CPU at a cool 50 C. at OC 3.8 Ghz I could go higher but I need a new mother board... My USB controller sort of died on my current mother board... I am thinking of getting a USB controller card.. and get a new mother board later on.... check out this review on my liquid cooler Interesting review, Poul! Ok Sunny, you have now great CPU cooler and I assume you will want push your CPU a bit above 3.8GHz. This means you need motherboard with massive heatsings on the power delivery cascade. This Asus ROG you've posted looks really good, but its a mATX motherboard - I don't know how many PCIe and PCI based components you will plug into. Usually I suggest ATX boards, but if its not really necessary, the mATX is good choice with enough slots for typical PC user. I'm not sure of the quality of MSI or Gigabyte boards for the LGA1366, it may be no less than Asus, but I've heard about problems with BIOS. Furthermore I've seen many happy owners, so I assume it will be not that hot. I think this can be the alternative: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131715www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128472The Gigabyte Assassin is pricey, but I see a lot of potencial in OC on this one. You pay for the Quad SLI possibility mainly, which is, I bet, absolute overkill for your needs. The Asus Rampage III Gene may be the best choice for you. Paul

This particular motherboard can have some issues I've mentioned before - Gigabyte boards had problems with BIOS. If you can set the USB ports through the software way, it gotta be a BIOS issue. Did you tried download the latest BIOS version? If not, try it, it may solve this problem. Well, I'm really not sure what else it can be, lets wait for Poul, see what suggestion he has Aside from this, did you ever noticed some dropdowns in CPU voltage? I have old Gigabyte motherboard and when is the CPU under load, it drop by a 0.03V from the vaule in BIOS. I use OCCT software to check it. Paul

This is my error after the PC boot's ....If I don't correct the problem by appling the tweek... the PC blue screens on shut down... My tweek is un-stalling the failed USB port and reinstalling them....take 30 seconds to fix...

Likely there will be a software program included that will allow you to clone your current ssd to the new one. Otherwise here is a program that is free, and people say is easy to use: www.extend-partition.com/free-partition-manager.htmlPoul

If you can afford the 670, definetly get that, one of the best cards, for the money, available. Overclocked, it has very close to same benchmarks as the 680, for alot less money. I have the 660ti and it is also a great card. Now that i overclocked it as high as i want to go, i can play BF3, Bioshock and Far Cry3 on on high and get anywhere from 80 to 100+ fps. But that 670 is a beast overclocked or not.

I wonder what it will take to play Grid 2 in 120+ fps? Not much fun in having a 120 Mhz monitor, if I am not getting that kind of fps with my current hardware. Poul
