Rogerio's Stingray takes a small victory with me, the human and luck factors stay crucial though 1.28.220 - BobbyVey - '67 Corvette Stingray - 9.87

Well, got some laps in with 9.87 parts combo and couldnt get the lap times that i was getting with 9.98. Then, hehe, i fried my video card. Luckily the store was still open and i was able to exchange it. So, ill see if i can get 1:26 tomorrow.

Then, hehe, i fried my video card. How did that happen? Let me take a wild guess, it was an ASUS card and had a faulty cooler fan... Jussi

No Bandit, you told me so Actually it was my fault. After installing Zalman VF1000 cooler, my temps were higher than they should be under load. I thought maybe i didnt put enough thermal compound on, so i removed the Zalman and reinstalled it with a little more thermal compound. When i did, i got a little bit of it on the board. Just a tiny bit too, but appearently it was enough. Next time ill cover the board with plastic so that doesnt happen again. It was my first time doing it, at least i learned something... the hard way. I didnt fry it from the heat at least. Just my dumb mistake. Dont like the Zalman, so im getting a different cooler. Probably an Accelero.

Oo, Get an AC Twin Turbo. It has a really cool name and it's quiet too, if you run it on 7V instead of 12V. ...or the one Poul has, it's huge! Jussi

I still have Aaron's settings, but I changed around the upgrades a bit... 1:41.440 - jsskppnn - '67 Corvette - 10.00 Jussi PS. Someone else had a 10.00 Corvette too, wonder if this is the same car?

Hmm... I'm sure I could get under 1:40 with any of these cars, if I tried long enough, but there really is no reason to keep trying... Jussi PS. I pressed "1" after this to retry and my game stopped responding. Wonder why? Was it a divine sign to stop trying?

And no we do not share the same setup, as mine has way more HP ... Oh yes... The reason for me changing the parts of Aaron's car was to lower the power and add handling elements. I thought it might help me control the car better. I do not know if it helped, but at least I managed to take 2 seconds of my time (or something like that). Jussi

Yo! For a change, had a last minute visit and only now I am free... I still did a few laps with the Default Car in 9.87 Rating and did 1m 30s without NOS (forgot I didnt had any button assigned to it! LOL :x). I will use Aaron Setup as a start point... Will try to get the best possible time in the time I have left... For Rating 14 Race I am going to be more active I think and try 2 or 3 cars... I will probably do a break from WR, since next LP640 is the study object! Rogério
