Have anyone here tried the ghost function in wrecord client?
I get serious lag plus stuttering when I use it. Infel8 tought me how to edit the xml file to remove the car and only see the line from any chosen telemetry, on the track, which for me would be very useful. (imagine to see a help line from the world record instead of the flaud shift line)
Anyway, I dont know if this is a compatibility issue with win7 64bit and running the game in windowed mode (which is needed for the ghost function to work), or if it's the client that imposes lag.
I might also add that when I drive in windowed mode, I also get the same terrible lag (16 fps) if I get a notice from msn messenger that goes on top of the shift window. I've tried to right click on shift.exe->properties->and change "run in compatibility mode for XP, Vista and so on" without any luck.
Sesfontain look at my sector times on 5th lap from Silverstone GP - the 1st was ok, the 2nd was terrible - but the 3rd
Damn I was so mad after doing that 2nd sector time. I was 0.7+ secs slower than usually - if I had only done 0.5 secs better it would have been a nice time for me here. I have not changed tuning for this track - not even gear settings - maybe i should try that - just afraid it might screw things up.
I didnt change them.If you use your online tuning, or setups dont differ much.Only important that you have more tire pressure at the front then the rear tires.btw really fast last sector, mine is 30.600 too:)
PS: what is your best at autopolis, poul?

I asked him to make those videos, to see if they were similar to unusually fast videos made by proxkruiz and anak. If he had something to hide, I don't think he would have made those videos, since he knew I was specifically looking for anything unusual.
Anyway, I focused too much on zx12rcr, since he doesn't do wrecord.com, it doesn't really prove anything. Proxkruiz is a much better example of what I think is going on, since his video looks so much different than other player's videos and since he is on wrecord.com.
Hacking wrecord could be possible, but I am not aware of any hack that causes the cars to be smooth like proxkruiz's video.
The .bff files used by NFS Shift are like zip files. You extract all the files from the .bff, modify one or more those extracted files, then repack the files to create a new modified .bff file. That is how I created my own no head shake and no blur mods (you need to remove the "1" at the end of the names after backing up the original files):
Simlar mods already exist, but I made my own to make sure that the changes didn't involve anything related to performance in the game.
Cheating for online play is easy:
Increasing grip level is a single line change in one of the .bff files. Increasing power requires changing a table in the .bff file for each car and would be time consuming. My guess is that few players have done this, and the ones that did weren't trying to hide it, making it obvious that they were cheating.
I doubt that many players would bother to figure out this stuff themselves, and most cheaters download mods made by others, or they use trainers.
wrclient - hacked game
wrclient checks the game directory, and will complain if there are any extra files. It also does some type of file check (checksum or crc), on all files or at least on all important files.
Rather than trying to modify files that get past the checks in wrclient, which would require reverse engineering wrclient, if a person is going to reverse engineer wrclient, it would be much simpler to create a trainer or to make a modified version of wrclient that defeats all the checks done by wrclient. Consdering trainers are made for games that are much larger and more complicated than wrclient, it would be relatively easy compared to the trainers made for games.
Bottom line, it would be possible to defeat wrclient, but I don't see the motivation for spending the time to do this.
CmdrTomalak (PC/PS3/PS4): Yep. Dead. Dead. Dead... Somebody should put it out of its misery. It all started waaaaaay back when Most Wanted came out and we all met on the EA forums and decided to branch out on our own. Sad way to go...

Tonnzzaah (PC/360/PS4): And unfortunately, the way Need For Speed games were for quite long time didn't help this place at all, for starters, I dropped off from NFS games completely. I did get both Shifts, Hot Pursuit (2010) and later Rivals, but they weren't enough...

Chandrian: I don't know how many of you know, but for a while, NFS World has worked very well on a public online server (probably a month or more since it became more stable), containing over 150k registered players.

Chandrian: The sync is now allowing races with more than 2 players, and pretty much all original NFSW features are working. The best part is that everything is available for in-game cash on this server.

Chandrian: You have to start with a new driver profile, but the progression isn't that hard. If you wanna play NFSW online again, then I advise downloading the launcher of this online server and also joining this Discord server:
