Well all you have to do is go to recent posts and find your comment and it says delete right next to it.

I fail to see the reason behind this thread to be honest. I know it's to show how to delete posts, but the way I see it, this was really uncalled for.

Well all you have to do is go to recent posts and find your comment and it says delete right next to it. It should not work like that! Jussi

Well this didn't take long to die off Do you still have the ability to delete your posts? If so, then you should PM Jussi and ask him to look into fixing that. Are you sure you don't just have a temporary time limit for deleting recent posts maybe? The only way you should be able to delete your posts is if you have moderator status of a particular board. Either way, just PM Jussi and he should be able to fix the problem (if there is one)

In fact I believe you can delete your own post as long as it hasn't yet been replied to. You don't *have* to search the latest posts to find it.

Heh, ok I'm just proved wrong because I can still see a Delete icon on my post above, meaning I can delete it, even though it's already been replied to. Here's a pic.

OK... now this just got interesting. This is probably a big flaw in the boards that Jussi should try and fix. We had an issue like this (a few different boards ago) where people were just going in and removing their posts. It got very annoying and it was decided that people would no longer have that capability and also, the admins wouldn't delete posts either. They were tasked with 'moving' them to another location. Jussi: This ringing any bells with you? Testing now. Going to try and delete my previous post (quoted above) EDIT: Yep. It's gone. Viewed through the "View most recent 100 posts" list. All of my posts have the 'Delete' button assigned for my deleting convenience. If you click on the link for my quoted post, it says it's been deleted.
