Hello again, I'm back after 4 days offline. Sorry for delayed entry My graphics card unexpectedly broke on Friday afternoon (bad day to break down). It was a Gigabyte mid range and 5 years old. I feared that motherboard or microprocessor had been broken (the pc was completely dead, not even the bios booted). I have borrowed an old graphics card while buy another. 3:21.948 - oscar - Chevrolet Cobalt SS - 499 - 60 nfstimes.com/nfsw/pc/123OSCAR321/times

oscar glad to see you solved your issues Looks like you can run NFSW on fairly decent graphics now, I guess the 5 y.o. card couldn't do that? Was it full of dust when you proceeded to swap it? Do you have a GPU temperature monitoring program? Something like MSI Afterburner would work fine, especially if it has a fan, as most gpus tend to run it at 50% whatever the temperature is. I got mine set up like this: You should set it up to something like that even with the borrowed card. Because it's summer and stuff, and yeah, why not. A used HD 6870 is around 60€, a used 7950 is 150€, in case you haven't decided which one to buy yet.

Thank you all. Chandrian, my broken graphic card was a Nvidia Gigabyte 9800GT 1 Gb. It was pretty good. Still I worked all games with good resolution. es.gigabyte.com/products/page/vga/gv-n98toc-1gh/ It was not overclocked, two months ago I had cleaned the fan and heatsink of graphics card and microprocessor. I was not constantly monitored temperature, but occasionally I watched after playing (60-65 °), it had good dissipation. When the graphics card broke, I was just browsing. I don´t think it was due to overheating. I still don´t know what to buy, Nvidia or ATI, new or used ... Until I buy one, I have borrowed an ATI HD4650. What a difference from one to another!!!!. Now everything is slowerrrrr With this, I have to work with half the resolution that I used with the other (previous catches are made with my broken graphic card)

My first vga was 8500 with 512MB but... well the same case with your vga. Then I used Palit Nvidea 9500 with 1 GB,the card was in good condition but I sold it and replaced with Sapphire ATI R7 240 2gb ddr3 with boostThis VGA is good for it's class but compared to the ge force 9800... Anyway I'm satisfied with my new VGA and it will cost you around 70 eur. but if you want best vga go for gtx660,760 or ati r9 270 they are 200-250 eur top(well in your country they might be cheaper). That's it for me and good luck with the new vga.
