2 to 4 hours after login is the "grey area" for the speedbug, where it may or may not occur, depending on the circumstances. I heard that you get slowbug first and then speedbug. If that's true, any sane person would reeboot the game, when it turns slow. Jussi

Jussi yes, i have experienced the speedbug only once, which was about 2 years ago on an old pc. i dont exactly remember how long i was online, but it was a lot of hours. i have tried getting it again by when i stayed on for 8 hours, but i still had the slowbug. eventually i just logged off. after a little over 4 hours i get slowbugged. i have never had a speedbug or a slowbug before that 4 hour mark. on my new pc its the same story. the 4 hour mark still stands and i cant go around it. its pretty damn hard getting that speedbug if you ask me.

The one time I managed to get bugged early in my time playing NFSW, there was no period of slowbug. It just ramped up quicker and quicker, and it started setting in at about the 4 hour mark. Everyone seems to experience the bug differently, hence the wide window of time and why it can go one way or the other, or even one and then the other. I more concerned about the area of less noticeable performance gain that can take place, before hitting the obviously bugged state. Should a person be allowed an advantage for being able to stay logged in for 2-4 hours consecutively and where is the line on login times?

I lost too much speed taking the first sharp left turn on the second lap and then lost 10 MPH climbing the hill at the end of that straight. Otherwise, would have been another 2:26. My 2:26 time was basically the same thing as seen in this video except I took that first sharp left and undercut the tree (the one I keep running into in my video), maintaining 100+ MPH to start that long straight.
I got this time about 45 minutes after I launched the game.

It would've been nice to see the 2:26, but what you're saying sounds about right. There's such a narrow margin to hit that turn like that without hitting the tree, it would be really hard to recreate faithfully. Nice run, man. Cases like this is why video-proofs are so prominent at the top tier of competition, it provides the sort of transparency that pictures simply cannot. I'm sorry if I've singled you out, but I do still think login times need to be discussed, and your case was right on point. Do we go by the NFSTimes guideline of 2 hours? The common answer from the EA forum of 3 hours? Or is it the carte blanche we have now?

I'm not familiar with the speed bug in terms of how/when it gets activated (whenever I have tried, World always crashes between 4-5 hours). I understand the concept of what it means and the only real way to tell is to compare video footage of a suspect time against another top time to see speeds maintained through corners. I have video footage for a few of my top times but I don't record every time because it cuts into my FPS (making it harder than it already is to set a top time).

Can someone with a controller/wheel make some good runs with the '72 gtr c10? I'd say it can get down to 2:27 in good hands.
