Last week Fixnow announced that due to techinical difficulties, they can't do IGC rotations or change the stuff for sale, yet somehow a couple of IGC cars were removed from the dealer. Adding to the problems is that there's a new store manager, apparently unfamiliar with the tools used to do this stuff.
It seems that the only programmers working on NFS World are the ones making trainers and hacks and mods like ENB graphics mod (is this ENB graphics mod an issue for NFS World?).
Getting back on topic, the state of NFS World:
No changes to the map have been made since November, 2010, specifically, no work has been done on the final connector section linking Kempton, Palmont, and Rockport. It seems the artwork is done, but the drivable surfaces (a map of polygons that make up the surface of roads, walls, objects), hasn't been completed. The two jumps with gaps over water are an issue, but the quick fix for this would be to make those gaps drivable for now (invisible road). The last change to the scenery was done for 2010 holiday season, including Oktoberfest, Christmas, and new years. For 2013, Oktoberfest wasn't enabled, but Christmas and new years were enabled.
Starting with version 5 in November 2010, it seems the team dropped all projects that wouldn't directly lead to sales of boost, so no more map updates, and almost all of the focus was on creating boost exclusive cars, tweaking events like pursuits to consume powerups, ... . The durability fee used to sale insurance for speed boost is mostly an annoyance used to sale insurance for speed boost. Gambling for performance parts and now cars via card packs just seems wrong, especially since a large number of players are minors (less than 18 years old).
One issue with NFS World is the low drop rate for the good performance parts. Players should be reluctant to buy cars, IGC or boost, if they can't get the parts to make those cars competitive, but I don't know if this is really having an impact.

What makes not completing the final connector part of the map is the fact that it would probably would have been completed if so much time hadn't been wasted hacking the bus terminal to keep players from getting on top of the busses or ramp, and the time spent trying to keep players from going out of bounds using certain bus stop benches. It took 3 or 4 redos of the bus terminal to keep players off the ramps (except via a game bug), and players can still go out of bounds, so a waste of time that could have been spent working on the connectors.
