As per me, I'm thinking of retiring from this series, as my keyboard here cannot compete with all the controller/wheel users. Did 50 runs the last week and couldn't improve my time, did aproximately as much this week too and couldn't get it not even below 1:57. I mean, I'll end up being 20th or so, when I'm usually way higher, up at 10th or so, next to gunsmokenphoenix; there's just way too many new racers with a controller/wheel. I know I'm not the best here, but I'm not that bad either, and it's desperate and agonizing to even try to improve your time when you see you've done 1:57.xx 20 times in a row while others are doing 1:55.xx easy peasy lemon squeezy. sigh. I probably did about 100-150 runs this week. I use a keyboard and 1:56 started to become easy, but I only had 3-4 times that ever reached 1:55.XXX - I don't mind playing against people using controllers or wheels because it forces me to perfect my racing lines. For this particular week, the Chevelle would probably have been a better choice since it's floaty driving style and cosmic NOS at the beginning makes it easier to maintain higher speeds with a keyboard. The Cobalt requires finesse to keep up it's speed and not having cosmic NOS already puts it at a disadvantage.

Having the objects on is actually better here. The bushes in the shortcut slow you down enough to avoid the wall. Lucky you.

Trying to avoid them forces you to take the outside route but can't make that perfect cut. This also ends up forcing your driving line on the next turn to a less-than-desirable starting point (on the inside), causing speed loss trying to compensate for the straight with hills.

How much do they drop? I always had to slow down from 240 to 199 just to avoid the wall. :\

Getting a clean run would be avoiding the bushes and maintaining something above 130 mph. (135 for a reeeeally clean turn).

Anymore and my Chevelle would fly in the air. But to relate to you. I would need to slow down from 149mph to 123mph.

Looks like Jussi is slacking off, because on this and previous track, I was faster than him. Don't know about the other one, but this one I didn't get to try again, because I was drinking so much on Saturday, that by the time I woke up it was already Monday, lol. Jussi
