Was really fast, but is a total pain in the rear to control.
OR
A car that is not as fast, but control is way up there.
Having had the faster cars, I didn't exactly have the easiest time holding a steady line. Using a slower car, but am actually getting better results with the slower car.

Which of the "faster cars" did you have? I can't comment on the ones that are currently the very fastest because I don't have them but I do have the 911 GT3 and Mustang RTR-X, which were the very fastest in the game about a year ago and I think that those are still reasonably easy to control. I can imagine that it might be different with an F1 or Zonda though. However, I am still thinking about buying something like that for myself soon (although very likely not the F1) because I don't really have a chance in class S multiplayer races these days. Even if the F1 or Zonda people make 1 or 2 mistakes they will still beat the cars that I have. So I am afraid if you want to have a chance to win in multiplayer races that are open to class S there is no way around a very fast car. You can always drive the few tracks that have a lower class restriction though.

I've had the porsche 911 GT3 RS4.0 and the lamborghini miura concept, found the porsche a bit twitchy and the miura concept felt like it wanted to plow. This past week has been the best week I've had racing wise, with a couple class B victories a bunch of Open comp wins(Which included a multiplayer victory on rosewood rally) a couple of 2nds and 3rds and a 4th with a Camaro SS that's been bumped up to class B. Other than that I mostly only do freeroam, though if EA were to ever offer Check Point TT's again, I would mainly focus on that.
