I'll be lucky to get within a second of it. For anyone who is going to participate, it seems the first corner is very important for a good lap, the rest are fairly easy to hold speed while drifting. Another key is keeping traction, not drifting, in the last corner or else you will loose to much speed. You should be able to hold @ 120mph if you dont drift around it. |

Man, you kill me on the first corner! The rest of the corners we are the same speed except the last. Have you tried not to drift around last corner? You slow down to 191kph(118mph), i can hold 120mph+ by not drifting. Of course, im sure wheel setups have something to do about it.

I know I can be faster on that last corner, but if I try just to keep a smooth line through the last corner, my speed drops too much. It might have something to do with wheel settings - agreed. I use centering spring strength 87% - do not like driving without. I wonder how people using a controller compare to wheel. I just opend Grid 2 and saw that my save file for career is missing. That is...any progress I made is gone. I was about to enter WSR season three last night and the game crashed - thought nothing off it, because it has happend a lot lately - only this time it threw away my saved career file I am not going to do this all over again... But the Savegame doesnt get saved in Steam Cloud? Or that is just the Online part? :S Strange...
Anyway, one of the 1st things I looked for when I got the game was where the Savegames are kept. Look for a directory called 44350, probably inside the Steam Userdata directory. I think the location might be different if you have the game installed outside the OS Drive. But anyway, with that name there should not be any confusion.
Get to WSR3 is fairly fast, but if you dont want to start again there are already around plenty of savegames with everything unlocked.
