Hi Aaron! =)
Its very unlikely I will buy this NFS, as any other made buy Criterion... I miss a Car Game, but I dont think this is it.
About BlackOps2 I am also not sure I will get it... I will probably continue with MW3 for another year, especially since now you dont have to buy it to play Online and you can set your own server which means no cheaters (I can explain you how to set it up - look for FourDeltaOne Project)... BO2 seems to be same as MW3 (no Server centered) so cheaters will be very much around. But I am still open about it...
Cya my friend!

Hey Aaron
Played the game at a friends place...its not for me...hate the police chases and the continuous crash cinematic...The Online is just like burnout paradise, which i dont like. I will wait for Grid 2, i think its going to own, till then i will stick to Dota 2.

Looks like another NFS title that I'll be skipping. Shift 2 Unleashed was the last NFS I bought. I skipped Hot Pursuit 2010 because it seemed more like a ramming game, at least the pursuit part of it. I also recall reading that each track is limited to a specific event type, so the number of actual racing events is limited. I skipped The Run because of bad reviews. it's not the community that's getting older, it's the attracted audience that's getting younger That's part of the issue for me. I'm an older player, having started with NFS back in 1997 (NFS2). After years of playing various racing games, I've gotten burnt out. Plus the new games seem to be oriented towards a younger audience anyway. A friend of mine recommend older games like TDU (Test Drive Unlimited) or TDU2, but I'm still not sure. Seems a lot of these games are also open highway point to point events with traffic. rFactor 2 has been in the works for a long time, but I have the feeling that by the time it's released, it will need a new audience as many of the older players will be a bit burnt out similar to me.

You're right...new Most Wanted looks like nothing but another flawed racing game to amuse the little kids until EA releases yet again another crappy installment of their Need for Speed series. It looks like EA is no longer even trying to make an NFS game that appeals to a wide audience.
Looking forward to what Codemasters and Turn 10 can produce in the years to come!

The only thing fun about this game is the career ... video of "burning rubber" event ... I don't undestand why there's no hood view. Even the original NFS had an in car view, plus replays. Seeing your video reminded me of the "budget" (cheap) Corvette racing game's highway events (link to youtube video): www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0KCw1OtVxM&hd=1

I don't know either.. but every game from what I can remember had a hood view....going back 8 years
But after playing the game online for awhile there are race tracks..High speed tracks,, but they call them "Speed Test" If you create a room you can go Private or public and the track selections are pretty fun.. you still have to deal with traffic and have to drive between 2.5 -- 3.5 miles to the next event .... Some of the Challenge series races you can press a button and go straight to the track
The cars handling is much more real than before,,, better than "The Run" and a hell of lot better than "Shift 2" The engine sounds are also enhanced.... sounds next to real to me..... I can create a video of some of the track selection or setup configures that you might like to see... if anyones interested....

Shift 2 has problems, like a weave issue with some cars, and a high speed oversteer problem with the Apollo and LP640 in high speed turns, but at most tracks with most cars, Shift 2's physics seemed OK. What is / are the problems you have with Shift 2?

You guys act like $50.00 is a lot of money.... The game is a lot more challenging than you might imagine...The Ali cars are moving a lot more faster than any other game that I've ever played.... When entering an intersection there are 8 or 9 cars moving around ...just like in real world......
I hate the cops in this game and there's a lot more traffic evolved in every race...... I can't beat some of the challenges I don't have the patients..... I smoke to many cigarettes and bitch too much...
Poul; you have to press the 6 key on the keypad to the right as long as your number lock key on..... 2 key is down, 8 is up and 4 back to previous screen

BO2 seems to be same as MW3 (no Server centered) so cheaters will be very much around. Do they have punkbuster or something similar? BF3 has done a decent job keeping cheaters at bay using punkbuster along with metabans and some other programs i cant remember at the moment. I think i have come across maybe 5 or 6 cheaters in BF3 since ive been playing. I will still buy BO2 however, the trailers look really good and BF3 is pissing me off. I keep getting disconnected from EA servers after i play for 20 minutes or so on high ticket servers. I only play on low ping servers close to me. Others are having the same problem and ive done everything i know to do to make sure its not on my end. I highly doubt i will buy Most Wanted. BF3 and Blackops 2 and probably Planetside2(very good reviews from pro FPS gamers) will take enough of my time. For those who like FPS games, check out Planetside2 website and some videos on youtube. I have read and heard many good things about the balance and gameplay of this game, and it is still in Beta at the moment. The graphics are not mind blowing but still pretty good considering 2000 players are on one server at one time. Gameplay over graphics anyways.

I am not trying to talk anyone into buying the game..... You won't like it,,, too much traffic too many freaking cops and besides no hood view or manual trans, the game more or less sucks when I am done with all the crashing and my career .....I'll go back to "The Run" there will be a lot less idiots racing "The Run"
But I will answer any questions that anyone might have.....

I have Criterion's MW for PS3 and I have been playing it a few times since last Saturday. To me best part of the game so far is the billboard smashing (from Burnout Paradise). Racing is quite hard, partly because I'm still a novice with the gamepad, but mainly because the tracks do not have those floating arrow barriers to show you where to drive at intersections and the sides of the roads are filled with hundredths of sudden stop opportunities. This game is definitely a step back from The Run and even Criterion's own Hot Pursuit. If we are honest and I always am, this game is nothing more than a badge engineered Burnout Paradise 2. I haven't yet found a single feature that would scream out Need for Speed, but a ton of ones that say: "Hey look, I'm a sequel to Burnout Paradise with a high profile name and licensed cars". It's a fun game and you'll love it, if you loved Burnout Paradise. If you loved the original Most Wanted and couldn't care less about Burnout Paradise, you would most likely hate this game with all your heart. Jussi
