Since everybody's shy on this one , lets break the ice (again) The race time on that attempt is 1:38.33 It's 0.7 sec. slower than my current best, which I've lost towards the end. I'm guessing 1:36.xx is possible for the better drivers out there.

Very nice, did you use wheel or keyboard for this one?

Thanks Poul! It's keyboard this time. The wheel's driving me crazy lately because of the game bugs (resets, freezes, etc) so I stopped using it for a while. I hope they'll release that patch soon, otherwise ...

Wasnt Monster that said a few weeks ago that Keyboard was faster and we all laugh? :S I am starting to think he may be right... I sincerely doubt I can do 1m 36s with Wheel...

I haven't been racing online for about month. Since upgrading my PC (video card, motherboard and CPU) the game doesn't connect to Autolog anymore so I'm stuck offline for now.
When I'll get the time I want to reinstall everything from scratch (starting with windows 7). Which brings me to a question: after reinstalling the game fresh, can I load my current saved settings (by overwriting the NFSTR folder)? By that I mean the cars I've unlocked, race progress ...
It would be a pain otherwise.

Hi!
In the My Documents Folder you should have the NFSTR one... Backup it... After re-installing the game run it once... After that replace the directory it created with the one from the backup and you should be fine.
Whats your real name btw?

Well what was you racing handle when you were racing Hot Pursuit?? Everyone has an EA master screen name...what is you're master screen name.... Also while I have you're attention,,, what do you have under hood... what I mean by that is; what CPU are you using, Video card, memory hard drive... tell use your stats... brag a little bit.. My ID is the same as here: bogdancp (the email for Origin has a "_" between my name and "cp", followed by yahoo.com).I've reset my Origin ID to: bogdan_cbs Re: HP2010 - I never played online with it. The guts of my PC: Asus Z68... motherboard, i7 2600k CPU, 8 GB RAM, Corsair Force3 SSD and HP Quadro 2000 graphics card. I chose the latter because of my profession (civil engineer) - I do a lot of CAD design. Not much horsepower in games, but it's enough for 'The Run' and I'm not much of a gamer anyway Later edit:Reinstalled everything and now it seems to be working. I'll send friend requests in the morning to Jussi, Rogerio, Monster, Prime and Wizard, Grnkjr0. Again, my new ID: bogdan_cbsLLE:@rogerio I did exactly as you advised me and it worked ...well ... partially. All the race times, settings and such have been read correctly by the newly installed game. Unlocked cars - gone, all challenge series (except limited edition one) - locked (but oddly enough the race times are still there). So ... need to redo the career mode and start playing online again.

Was testing overclocks and improved my best time a bit so i figured i would post the video. Im able to record in full screen now, so should be in HD when its finished processing. I cant even tell Fraps is running while recording now! Edit- Just noticed, the timing is correct now too.

You only bettered your time by .025 seconds faster with the new CPU and motherboard...so there wasn't that much of the advantage.....but the faster frame rate does make a major difference in performance.....

Heh, well it only took a few runs to better my time and i wasnt really trying for my best time. I was just checking temps and seeing how well i can record with fraps.
BIG difference in how the car feels now, which i expected. I doubt i can do faster times, but it will take less time now because of how much faster the car reacts now. One less element i have to worry about.

My son just asked me why I disliked this post and I had no idea what he was talking about until he showed me that Wizard70 dislikes this post at the bottom of it. That surprised me a bit seeing I had not actually read the post yet let alone know how to dislike a post. Life just gets weirder and weirder. Ghosts in the machine. B
