Nice idea, Jussi!
I agree with the time penalties for rests. In some races they help you a lot.
Q: Does it have to be a new run or can we use the time on our wall atm?

Great time Aaron. But we seem to have some inconsistencies in The Run timing system. I downloaded your video in order to compare runs. The comparison was like chalk and cheese. I finished way before you did with my time of 2m28.47 so I timed your video. Your video time gives you a time of 2m51 timing my video gives me the exact time that I show on the Speed Wall. So it would seem that all things are not equal in The Run. Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? B

Thanks Brian, That is not unusual, i have checked times of my videos before and videos uploaded to youtube are always several seconds slower. Out of curiosity i just timed my original video from fraps folder and video from youtube using the stopwatch on my keyboard. The youtube video time was 2:51 and the original took 2:25 as it should.

When you upload a video to youtube, Youtube takes that same video and compresses it down some more they can take a 1.0GB video and compress it down to about 200MB so there may be some frame lose there and also timing of the video.... Thanks for the feedback. I have since timed all my uploaded video on You Tube by downloading each one and not one of them gives me a different time to the time taken to run whatever track it is done on, down to a 10th of a second. I know they encode their own formats and compress again but I see no reason for it to change the speed of a video being shown. If anything compression would speed it up in my opinion. B

I think it is because Aaron´s PC is too slow...be it video card or CPU. I also noticed this in a video posted on EA forum, where some guy did the Live Free or Drive Hard challenge. When you time that guys video, you get a 7-8 sec difference - he also uploaded to Youtube. He was asked about this and replied it was because FRAPS slowed down his run and that it actually did not look like that in the original video.
Aaron you ever noticed similar like this with the Run before in any of your videos? It would be interesting to find out what is the cause of this. I record in full-size and 1920x1080 and then I usually have 4-5 gigabyte of video that I encode with ffdshow and compress using virtualdub. That way I am able to upload a 1080p video to Youtube and they will not downsize my video, but show it like it is.

It is not youtubes fault, it happens during compression, i just checked the time of the video, that i uploaded to youtube, using virtualdub and it runs at 2:51, same as on youtube. I use ffdshow codec also, so i might have changed something in configuration settings, which i dont know what or why, i dont understand any of that stuff. Im not positive, but i think it has something to do with my cpu, everytime i use virtualdub, during compression of full size videos(which is why i record in half size), an alert box(from Norton antivirus, i think) pops up in the lower right hand corner telling me "high cpu usage".
Poul, just checked the only other video i uploaded of The Run and the time is not correct on it either. I remember my Undercover videos being the same way. My Shift1 videos are correct though, at least the ones i just checked, which i upgraded my PC just before Shift1 came out and was well above the minimum requirments, i think my cpu now is below the minimum requirements for The Run. Would i be better off using that badaboom or whatever its called, that uses the gpu to do something? I have a GTX 560 Ti videocard.
