Need for Speed The Run is a race from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits, no rules, no allies. All you have to rely on are your driving skills and your ride. You'll be facing hundreds of the world’s most notorious drivers and the country’s most dangerous roads. Your journey will take you through dense urban centers, icy mountain passes and narrow canyons at breakneck speeds, all the while evading a relentless police force prepared to take you down. The game will be powered by the Frostbite 2.0 engine (from Battlefield 3) and improved Autolog system. Jussi

As i posted on facebook, wont be buying this one unless Shift2 gets the DLC's, just like i didn't buy HP because of shift1! Bugger supporting this mob, they don't seem to give a toss about us PC users! I recommended shift2 to a heap of peeps now all i got is pissed off mates and a half busted game, fucked if i'll recommend anything NFS again!

Tell NFS Team to make a movie, they are probably good at making them. Cause when the final game launches, all you hear is players hate & frustration.

It may be an interesting game in the spirit of Vanishing Point, but I'm not that big on cop chases. I rather just race. Wonder if this new game will have any actual racing at all? By the way, does this belong to Street Racing series with Most Wanted, Carbon and World or to Road Racing series with Hot Pursuit games? Jussi

It looks like it will be kinda NFS Undercover 2 with a more serious story line. + They took ideas from very old NFS series where we raced in the snow/jungle/desert, so it will be RUN all over the USA 100% Arcade + latest version of cop AI + crafted for consoles. Uless EA will spend enough time for script/development and hires talented storywriters, it won't be the game people will like much. P.S.> Many express desire for EA to concentrate more on polishing existing titles and making money releasing various DLCs with cars/tracks/game modes/online functions updates. But unfortunately (or fortunately), EA already fired Slightly Mad Studio Team. So what we got with Shift2 is the last piece of a racing sim from EA for at least coming 2 years.

Hmm... gotta' say that trailer did absolutely nothing for me. A bunch of short flashes of game play without giving much time to focus on anything.

Some more news about NFS Run:San Francisco->New York. From developers: “Frostbite 2 is primarily developed for DX11. XP & DX9 is _not_ supported, 64-bit OS is recommended. Lots of time to upgrade if you haven't!”

Hmm... So a cannonball run basically? Nice idea. Anyone remember that old movie? But i don't trust them to produce a quality product. In my opinion, there hasn't been a decent NFS game since MW. And that was 2005. Vids at Gametrailers, including a new interview. www.gametrailers.com/game/need-for-speed-the-run/14791In the interview, they admit making it for a 'mass market'. He also says that getting out of the car (while on the train tracks) will be a puzzle so you have to work out how to escape. Then the next shot shows you exactly how We'll see.

Did you play ProStreet or MostWanted with the pad? Handling experience in The Run will be very close to one of them. Wheel support is still TBA, but, I do not think, we will be having same problems as in HP2010. If you have any suggestions or ideas for the new game, please feel free to share: forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/15/6715319.page

Hell yea, I've own every racing game that EA has ever made way back to 1997 I think,,, back then they were NASCAR racing games and I have always owned a steering wheel, never played with a gamepad except over at my nephew house playing one of his Mario kart racing games which I didn't do very well... suggestions no still having a little fun with Shift 2 if I could find someone to race with....
