Hi all! I arrived home and tested the v1.0.0 of the game. I am using 1920x1080. Quick Race on Road America. With everything maxed out except for Motion Blur and AA which were off, I had 105 to 125 fps. With everything maxed out except for only Motion Blur, which was off, I had 73 to 83 fps. About Gameplay, I think its enough to say that on my 1st attempt I beat my best ever with Default Apollo on that track!!!!!! Couldnt believe it, since I did quite a few laps there. The thing is, the car is so much more controllable... I mean, after that very long right, you have a very sharp and quick right, which now I do without lifting and in my previous PC I would have to lift because if I didnt, I would loose the back of the car! :X I also drove another car, the SLS AMG Works, which has barely any FF. Still was quite more drivable now then before, and I beat my best lap with that car by 1s, on my 2nd attempt. I am pretty happy with the performance of the PC! And the game is so beautiful now! Next step is to install the Patch and redo what I did here... I am guessing that I will only see what the Patch really allows at best after re-adjust the Wheel Settings, but we will see. Cya! Rogério

So there is some PC sensitivity in the game. What fps were you getting with your old system?

To be honest never saw, but less then half probably, on some cases even below 30. I think what I am feeling is basically the effects of having enough fps to not have wheel lag due to it.
Tomorrow I will install the Patch and see what happens.

There shouldn't be a wheel lag issue at 30 fps. Since NFS Underground 1, NFS games have had issues with differences in the speeds of PC system. In the older games, like High Stakes or Porsche Unleashed, even if frame rates were terrible, it didn't affect controller inputs, as long as the player knew the track well, or could deal with a slow fps. The lap times in those older games are not affected by slow frame rates. However the newer NFS games, even though made by different groups all seem to have some sensitivity to the PC system, where slow graphics seems to interfere with the reset of the game's physics, like controller input lag, or in some cases the entier game pausing for brief moments (NFS Undercover and NFS World have pauses that last up to 1/2 second or so).

Hi guys! Well... About the patch... Install it as fast as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! About the improvement in fps, without AA and Motion Blur had the same 105 fps as minimum, but max went to 135 fps, and I am pretty sure average has between 5 and 10% increase. But when AA enters into the mix, was completly different! My minimum fps were now 93 (!) with 125 max fps! So, basically, at least in Quick Race alone on track, there is barely any difference. Also it translates in about 30% increase in fps, on average! =) But this is not the main thing... I dont know if I should start with the Apollo or the SLS... Well, the car now communicates with us for real, even in the Apollo, an already really good car in v1.00, I could feel it... In fact, I did less 0.5s then yesterday, meaning I am now 0.6s faster then my best ever in my previous PC with v1.00. But the main difference was really in SLS, because this car had no feeling whatsoever... Now it has! I now can feel the FF and all the info it carries and the result, you might wonder? I will tell you: I beat yesterday's time by 2.4s! LOLOLOL In this car I am close to 3.5s faster then I ever was on my previous PC with v1.00! Bottom line... Some cars you will feel more then in others and I am guessing that in cars with already custom setups you will feel less then if you are still using Default Setups, like me... But one thing is certain, you can now feel the car and predict what will happen. The tire sounds are also much more apparent, at least on the SLS, which also lets you know when you are about to loose it. Finally, with the FF implemented as it should and the Input Lag being gone, the cars dont sway anymore like we were custom. When that is about to happen, you can feel the FF enough to counter it and keep the car straight. I also think that the FF increases with speed now, which is what happens in reality, and can also explain this increase in control. NFSS2U v1.01 is what the game should had been from the start. I have to say that together with the fact I now have a PC that can handle it, this game is just awesome! Rogério

Cool Rogerio! Im glad your happy with your new PC. I can barely tell a difference after the patch, but as i presumed, because my PC is too damn slow now. I was hoping to have a new board and cpu by now, but some unforeseen expenses and vacation coming in 10 days, have put things on hold for a while.
I hope you will find some time to spend with the Vette and LP640, i believe will be the 2 fastest works converted cars.

The Vette will be a problem as I dont know if the Works with swap engine was a good idea, and now I cant do anything about it... But the Veyron is for certain a car to look out... Also I believe the Apollo can still do a few interesting things! Rogério

Thank you, Rogerio, for your detailed post about all the improvements through the patch. It clarified the issue. I guess, I am the last one who still has an unpatched game, and who is still waiting for EA to release an updated patch. It looks like 1.01 patch is a really great fix for the game and the only thing left to wish is a DLC. Hey, EA, hurry up, we are waiting!

The Vette will be a problem as I dont know if the Works with swap engine was a good idea, and now I cant do anything about it. I used engine swap and works upgrade for both the Stingray and Z06. The cars were difficult to drive, and city tracks were a chanllenge, but I like having that power. I'm not sure why the works upgrades unlock so soon before the actual works events. I ended up using the works Apollo (I ran all of the standard edition career mode without logging in, so no LP640), on most of the A class events.

Im happy with the patch now too! After taking some advice from Rogerio, in profiler, i unchecked centerspring and checked "allow game to make changes", something i had not done since installing the patch. Man what a difference, definetly the best feeling for the cars since i installed the game. Even with 40fps i couldnt notice any input lag. The FFB feels much better for me too. I only tested a few cars, but it was all i needed to tell a considerable difference.

Does the patch work on digital version of the game or do I need to wait for a new patch? Jussi

You are not alone, Jussi Interesting, whether this patch gives considerable laptime improvements because of the changed handling. I already saw people online successfully using cars that were considered "undrivable" in 1.00 Version of the game, like BMWs and similar.
