Its been a hell of a long time since I participated in NFS World, wonder if my account is still active.... I think there are many reasons why chat was removed and most of them already stated in this thread and pretty much spot on, the main one is PD like dimi said earlier, we may not like discussing it but it is a big problem these days, and considering ea's target audience or more younger than older I can only imagine that this has played a big part in their decision if that really is the reason, its not like they will ever tell us. Online is scarce at best, but for us its a little easier as we have our own community for racing, unfornuately not all new players are aware of this though, myself only heard of WR recently....been trying to track down ISRC for a while, I finally found the website after speaking to jussi at nfs forums and speaking to marco at n grip regarding WR. I thought your name is Mikal and you are a guy (why have you decided to change you gender at this forum?)

I didnt select the right one when registering lol, easy mistake to make I use many forum names recently, mikal and kenzim being the main two, however back in the days of PT and ISRC I only ever used Missy Q, Jussi knows who I am, hes the one who recruited me into ISRC in Project Torque. And just to explain that alias as jussi asked me also, I listen to a lot of Missy Elliot, so I used missy as my PT nick and it kind of stuck so I go by it too, if I could do all my forum names I would do them Missy but I cant so I can live with it, hell I might even buy a new cd key so I can change my shift 2 alias to missy Edit: changed my display name to avoid any confusion that I have caused, sorry about that.

Tried Shift 1 online, and there aren't many players there either anymore, and it seems to be mostly the same core group of players depending on the time of day.

EA recently raised the prices on speed boost, even though most consider the prices for content absurdly high such as $12 to $15 (USA) for a car before the price increase. With most of the EA/BB staff off working on NFS The Run, there's very little progress being made in NFS World in terms of content and bug fixes, except for the boost exclusive cars they add to the game.
I'm waiting to see if the connector area west of Rokport gets released on the anniversary (July 27, 2011). Other than that, I'm not expecting much from NFS World and I don't play it very often.

Getting back to Shift 2, I tried adjusting downforce on the LP640, but it didn't solve the high speed oversteer problem, so I've mostly given up on Shift 2 due to handling issues in the game. I did complete the DLC added career events, but stopped playing after that.

Plenty of action with Shift 1 online on PS3. It is n00b city although, and difficult to get a competitive race. Most people don't last the race and some even leave in the first 20 seconds. It's still enjoyable driving Shift 1 cars. Can't say that for Shift 2.
