I think I have my video card issue figure out but I need to still verify, I installed the service pack 1 for Win7 (64 bit) and it F** up my PC and it didn't boot after wards so I have reload Win7 back to a clean install, but what is happening is that I have NVidia sound drivers install some how and its stepping on my on board sound, below is a picture of my device manager, Poul what do you see inside ur device manager for sound?? with the GTX 460 drivers installed.. I disable all of the NVidia sound drivers and my PC quit locking up so the only thing running is the RealTek sound card..

Hey
When you installed that new Nvidia driver you also installed 3D vision controller driver and a HD audio driver, if you clicked on Express installation option and not used the Custom option to manually decide what to install. It has been months since I first experienced that Nvidia would overtake my sound driver if I chose the Express installation option - so I always use Custom. You really did not need to reinstall Windows 7 to get your sound back - just had to reinstall Realtek sound driver. I too had problems when installing that huge Windows 7 update, and I actually had to force a shutdown - it simply locked up my computer after the reboot trying to install updates. I then went to Windows 7 update page and downloaded every update and then installed. I think the problem was that I had set it to automatically download updates. I saw the updates when I wanted to shut down my computer, but I had no time to install the updates until next day - that i think was a mistake, because it installed the updates upon shut down, but did not get a reboot.
Anyway - glad to hear things got sorted out for you Sunny.

Wow thanks Poul that was a quick response I caught you the right time of day... after I did the Service pack 1 update my PC didn't boot afterwards I recieive registery error and my PC would just shut off... So after I reinstalled windows the very first boot and finishing the install the beech reinstall that service pack 1 again, I had now time to stop it... but this time my PC boot after that service pack 1 update, but I had to re-install everything all over again... btw I am not buying that NFS digital download anymore, it will not allow me to change the path on where the game gets installed,,, needless to say I lost my NFS game file and when I started up SHift 2 the game it didn't show me anything but career and option no other menu items or no start up demo, so I am not sure what the hecks going on with that if I have to start my career over or what... Actually Sunny, I took this week off. Now I am going to my local bar and get drunk - maybe play some billard. I have not yet decided whether to do the override exe.file thing and get the patch to work that way - or wait for EA to release a patch for my digital download version. Let´s see what happens these next days..

Also, although this is a Digital Copy, your Savegame is on your PC, not on their servers like many games bought this way, so you would have to make a backup of it before formating the PC! :S Rogério

Very nice card, Aaron. Do not forget to overclock it, it will give you extra 20% increase in fps, so you may switch to "high" thereafter But $300 looks to be way too much for it. Just check online retailers for 560Ti cards from MSI or ASUS, you may find deals for $220-250.

Aaron I assume that card is the same as their super overclocked card - right? You should be able to overclock it - perhaps even give it a voltage bump and then you will get some more fps. I know that card cvan be overclocked to more than 1000 Mhz - so it is a good card, but you must want to play Crysis 2 - since you bought this card Poul

Im not sure if its the same as the overclocked one, this one is not overclocked(yet). It was the best card they had there and it was on sale for $259.99. It didnt come with any games.

Then you have posted a wrong link Aaron - it clearly says: Tell me what GPU-Z says on clock speed? www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1978/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.5.3.html

Hey Poul, That link is for purchasing online, i bought it in the store. Probably why i got it for that price, because the game was not with it, not because it was on sale. It is the identical card anyway. Here you go. I want to see if there are any good aftermarket coolers for this before i overclock.

Aaron you do not need an aftermarket GPU cooler for these new cards. Just tell me what temperatures are when playing Shift 2. Open GPU-Z and run a few laps in Shift 2, then minimize and see under sensors what temps you get.

I am not sure that Aaron will be able to push the card over 950MHz for the core with the Afterburner tool without having stability issues.
Memory is warming up very fast with the voltage increase.
The best way to overclock it, keep it at stock voltage 1.00 or push up to 1,024V max, but overclock memory as fast as it goes.
Most cards have Samsung chips that can do up to 5000MHz(1250*4) if not overheated, so he can milk up to 4500 without stability issues, and memory overclock will give better performance increase than GPU overclock. Give GPU a decent push to 940-975MHz, just do not aim for 1000.
