I did the race at Bathurst yesterday and on the 18th and 19th lap I lost a total 18 seconds in three failed attempts to pass the same backmarker. When I finished I saw that I was 5 seconds behind the WR. A bit annoying knowing that the WR will be completely unobtainable once Tomas and others have had a go...

Bathurst - Murc - 35,49;834 - TomasT This really shouldnt be hard to beat if you manage to keep away from the AI. I got one parking in the middle of Griffins bend half the race. Next will be Suzuka which I like very much!

I redid BRNO to get a time there, 37:36.416. Updated my prevoius post. Near the end of the lap, on the first uphill, then left turn sequence, if you follow the racing line over the curbing, you'll get a corner cut penalty and the time won't record. This time I avoided that spot. The other issue was passing the entire field starting around lap 14, and finally clearing the lead AI car on lap 18. Also at the start, there was a massive pile up of the AI cars, but I could drive to the right around them, which helped on the early laps.

I'm no fan of Suzuka, so I skipped it and went straight to the nightrace at Spa. Did maybe 7-8 laps before I quit in a rage of fury! This, and all other nightraces are put on a hold until a patch fixes the damned green line. Without it I'm completely lost in these races.

I found I can switch the game to windowed mode at 1024x768, graphics on low settings (have to restart game), which allowed me to adjust the desktop gamma as well as the game's window so I can see the tracks better now. Still it's annoying to have the green line go away after a few laps.
