Was just wondering. I went online yesterday, did one team pursuit in private match, and it was mostly road blocks you drove around or through (I was driving BMW). Also did one private match race to see if that had changed.
Ram skill was reduced from +150% to +75%, so now cop cars and traffic will seem heavier. It was probably done for Team Escape and also to push usage of juggernaut power ups, but it also affects the races and I don't like skills or cars getting nerfed, which has occurred a few times already.
The mini-map graphics were changed slightly.
I didn't see any other changes.
Back to the point, I and most of the players here have probably moved on to Shift 2 (maybe a few are playing Hot Pursuit 3), and I will probably only go online with NFS World once after each patch to see what's changed.

Thats just what I did with the last patch. If anything that really gonna make me come back is the performance parts availability with ingame cash & collision off mode.

I'm so exited about Shift 2, that I even got the marketing car for World... Can you see the subtle changes I did to the vinyls... Jussi

Well Shift 2 online turned out not to be much fun due to no chat and some handling instability (weave, yaw, oversteer, ...). I sometimes play Shift 2 offline, redoing some career events, but that's about it for Shift 2.
I've almost completely stopped playing NFS World. I never liked the idea of multi-player races with traffic, and there's probably no chance of getting the final performance part or two I'd like on my BMW. I reached $10 million cash, so there aren't any other goals left.
The other issue with NFS World is most of the updates just add boost content, like cars or visual stuff, and some of them have taken things away, like ram skill being reduced to 75% (that's like taking away 4 skill points). It doesn't seem the new area west of Rockport is going to get done anytime soon, and none of the major bugs like sync / lag which was made worse in version 5 have been fixed.
My guess is most of the EA/BB development team has moved on to "The Run", and only a miminal crew is involved with World anymore.

I have a second free to play account that is at level 50. On my primary account, I used 1000 boost for 2 car slots, but those cars (R8 and Z06) are now useless. You can play NFS World without any boost. With or without boost, the game is very time consuming. It takes a long time to level up and earn cash. The boost rep and cash amplifiers don't help that much either, so I never used them on either of my accounts. The rep and cash skills don't help much, so I would not recommend using those either.

But the droprate is awesomly low, so I need to buy these gold packs. The "drop" rate for gold packs is also low. They may be good for initially updgrading a stock car, but they are almost useless for getting pro tuned parts. You end up just wasting a lot of money. Most of the gold card packs parts are pro improved, a few are pro sport, and very few will be pro tuned, and there's almost no chance of getting the best pro tuned parts, much less 6 of them. Players have spent several hundred dollars on gold card packs and were still not able to upgrade a single car with all pro tuned parts. It's a shame that the Murcielago is a boost only car. NFS World has become a pay to win game because of that car and the flawed race matching. If the matching for multi-player races worked properly, then you wouldn't be racing against those Murcielagos.

After recent hacks, I would not suggest you to use your Visa there or anywhere else, except Paypal. I am really hoping that an excellent Origin Platform will be safe enough. P.S.> Another option would be to ask your father to open low-limit visa at another bank (most of them have zero annual fees); use it solely for gaming/online purposes, put wrong address as your home address (use your grandma's address or one of your neighbors), and just change it to correct one before making purchases, but then roll it back to the wrong one again. It is not a joke; it works for many folks in the industry.

There's another issue to consider. Tier 4 cars are on the way, and those will be faster than the Murcielago. It's also my guess is part of EA/BB's strategy with boost cars is to release a new dominant (faster than all current cars in a tier) car every few months or so, in order to get player to continue buying and spending boost for cars and parts, which is why they don't allow parts to be tranferred back to inventory and/or another car.
I expect that they will release another tier 3 car faster than the Murcielago soon, and perhaps later this year, another tier 3 car that is faster still. Not sure when they will start releasing tier 4 cars and tier 4 performance parts.
