I did yeasterday some practise here, but I'm not sure if my time is valid, because I can't set my nick to game. So I'm "player" instead of "Paul". I have here no option to change it, only use a EA account, but uh...uh... I don't have legal copy yet Here is my yesterdays very first gamening experience, Elise 111R rated D499, no NOS, no setup. 2.38.752 - Player (Paul) - Lotus Elise 111R - D499 Paul

Hey Paul, we don't allow illegal copies of the game but I am going to extent the deadline date back another week to allow the rest of the world to get there copy, I'll push the date back to the April 17th if need to be that way you can have time to get your copy... by the time you do get the game you should be able to breeze through this track.. with even a better time I did yeasterday some practise here, but I'm not sure if my time is valid, because I can't set my nick to game. So I'm "player" instead of "Paul". I have here no option to change it, only use a EA account, but uh...uh... Ok Sunny, I understand. Lowering the deadline will be not necessary, because in the near future I do not think about buying a Shift 2, because after buying new GPU I'm a bit "short of money". So I guess I'm out from Shift 2 challenges. My improvement, only informative, no custom setup, NOS was used - Paul

I like the 2 screens confirmation Paul is using. The first one could be the change car screen and the second one after race screen with lap times showing. I'm also thinking of changing our drive classification from last Shift's three steps to something like F1's 107% rule. The percent could be lower though, since F1's have shown us that drivers who barely make that 107% have really no chance of fighting for the podium. Let's take Paul's 2:34.326 as an example... 2:34.326 = 154.326 seconds 154.326 x 1.07 = 165.129 = 2:45.129 154.326 x 1.05 = 162.042 = 2:42.042 154.326 x 1.03 = 158.042 = 2:38.956 154.326 x 1.01 = 155.870 = 2:35.870 Now, what would be a good percentage to use to separate different driver classes? Paul would you mind sharing what upgrade parts you used? No matter what combination I try, there is no way I can make my car go as fast as yours in your video. A high 2.35 would be my best estimate of my current potential with my combination of upgrade parts.

Here's another example to make it more clear... Let's take a top time of exactly 3 minutes as an example. That's 180 seconds. Let's use use 102% rule on that... 180 seconds x 1.02 = 183.6 seconds = 3:03.600 ...that means that professional racers would be the ones that can finish the race in 3:03.600 or less and if you can't you'd be classed as Semi-Pro. Did that explain what I'm after here? Jussi

I understand Jussi, but i would have no idea what percentage to use. I would think F1 put alot of thought into their formula, maybe stay with 107% they use?
