Dimitrikhoz you might wanna try upgrading to the latest beta version of Nvidia graphics drivers - it´s 270.51 - which now has support for your 560TI grahics card. Anyone else with a Nvidia card might see an increase in fps too with this Beta version Poul www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

I have the game installed and I'm just waiting patiently for it to be open for activation.
Without even having tried the game, something already bugs me a lot. SMS have been talking so much about this Elite handling mode, and that is fine. But why all the fuss around this mode when you can't make an online race where everybody have to play on Elite to participate? Nobody give themselves massive handicaps when they race random people online, so Elite will likely only be for having fun offline.
I'm guessing "Normal" will be the fastest mode, so why not create the opportunity to play random Elite-races online to give us the motivation to play on the slower, more difficult, but also more fun mode...? It baffles me.

The elite mode is only for tuning it fill your screen up with stat of your car setup its a little hard to see the side of the track because of all the stuff it places on the screen... that's the best I can answer that question and Aaron & Poul are the best tuners. So I am using from what I learn from shift 1 to tune these cars but I'm not sure if it all applies.. As far as the wheel lag I increased the over all strenght to max and remove the check "Allow game to change setting" plus I increased my turning radius to 360 degree's from 180 degree's what I was using in Shift 1 it help allot but its still not as tight as I would like it to be... I have the game installed and I'm just waiting patiently for it to be open for activation. Without even having tried the game, something already bugs me a lot. Thx Poul, I will definitely try out this new driver. Unfortunately, I am working today and tomorrow. But, on Friday, I am going to be the whole day online playing this insane game and tuning my PC and cars. I can not wait for the ride.
Guys, have you tried new Live Voice Chat online?

I too am seeing low fps (around 40) at highest possible graphics settings and with a 1920x1200 resolution. I also noticed that SLI is not supoorted I will try to change back to an earlier version of Nvidia´s drivers, to see if that is just this 270.51 that is a problem. I do not have an opinion on Shift 2 yet, but I hate the fact that I now have to start all over with a NFS game - testing how to set up wheel settings and things like that - to get the best handling. I am pegged out at 60 fps, and it never goes below that... check out this night race, its only one lap and nothing special, just wanted everyone to see a night race before the rest of the world gets there copy I too am seeing low fps (around 40) at highest possible graphics settings and with a 1920x1200 resolution. What resolution and settings are you using? I just quickly did a lap while I had Fraps running, and I had about 55 fps with the suggested settings. That's an ATI 5870 with 1920x1080 and medium on all settings. I didn't have time to try it without vsync.
I have two 5870s in my computer, but I'm not using crossfire because it gives me trouble just about everywhere. I also heard that Shift 2 isn't very crossfire-friendly, so right no I'll spare myself the trouble and will rather try to enjoy the game a little first. I hope to get it sorted though, so I can play in 5760x1080.

SMS have been talking so much about this elite handling mode. I didn't notice any significant difference in lap times between "normal" and "elite" modes. These settings just seem to change the defaults on the other settings. If you set all of the assists off, it seems to be the same as "elite" mode. Take a look at my car comparason thread. The physics was close enough to Shift 1 that it didn't take that long to get used to the fast cars I tested at Willow Springs, but I know that track fairly well. I did notice that some of the D class cars I used in early career tended to weave a bit if they got disturbed. Another thing is that hitting an AI car can really upset the players car, sometimes sending the players car off track into a gravel trap and causing it to roll. Master corner is easier, but now you have to run every track twice, once for a "day" badge, and again for a "night" badge. Not looking forward to spending most of career mode following a green line for XP and badges. Other tidbits space bar toggles autolog menu up and down. This is where badges, photos, replays, and stats are kept. You don't need to go online to see this stuff. right shift is the up arrow "save" key when in options or other menus.

Does everyone else have input lag in the steering with wheels? I have tried many combinations in profiler, in game settings and car setups(stiffer springs, alignment settings) and i cannot eliminate this. I agree with Jeff, i tried normal handling mode with all assists off and then Elite mode and could not tell a difference in handling, which i like. As far as the D and C class cars, i think the Lotus Elise and Exige are the fastest. The lowest class BMW with the engine swap as a class C car is very fast but a little harder to control, it might end up faster than the Lotuses with the right setup. That is as far as i have got, havent tested any class B or A cars yet. Edit- I have ATI 5770 and only get between 30-40 fps racing online, in quick race and during tuning its around 50-60. I tried to record a race and it impossible, only 20-30 fps

Does everyone else have input lag in the steering with wheels? I use a joystick to steer (and a second joystick for throttle + brake). I haven't noticed much actual steering lag overall, but I have noticed that some cars tend to oscillate side to side if they get disturbed, and the movment of the steering wheel you see from in car view doesn't seem to correspond to your steering inputs, which is the same problem it had in Shift 1. So it's somewhat car dependent. The faster cars don't seem to have as much issue as the slower ones.

The classes are about the same as Shift1 there is rating 5.0, =D 10.0 =C 14.0 = B unrestricted =A They got rid of 4.0 and 6.0 rating as far as recording the is a replay after every race thats how I recorded my two video's and fraps record it at 30 fps As far as the D and C class cars, i think the Lotus Elise and Exige are the fastest. The lowest class BMW with the engine swap as a class C car is very fast but a little harder to control, it might end up faster than the Lotuses with the right setup.
