Spiko asked me to be his friend and I replied. Later on he was gone on the list. For me the only one who survives is Jussi.

This bug is related to the last tuning method used, regardless of the car. Buy a "spare" car for the work around. Select that "spare" car, go into tuning menu, select quick tuning and make some change, like steering 49%. Once this is done, run a race in the Viper again, and do a restart to make sure the fix works. Then save your game.

That Viper was actually a stock car or a loaner... I changed the game settings and that car just appeared there for me, then everyone pressed "2" before I could choose my own car. Jussi

This bug is related to the last tuning method used, regardless of the car. That Viper was actually a stock car or a loaner... Doesn't matter if it's a stock car, loaner car, or careeer car. What matters is the last tuning method you used on any car, quick or advanced. If you used advanced, then certain muscle cars won't move. If the last tuning method used was quick, regardless of which car you tuned, it will fix the problem on all of the problem cars, but you may have to restart a race. You'd have to do the restart in an offline race first, then save that game and use it for online racing. Note that the advance tuning you've done on other cars isn't affected by the quick tuning you do to another car to workaround this problem.

I'm having problems starting a race. After I get the settings in (track then car,) it will crash. I don't have the first patch installed but I got the Wipe Out Mod installed and running on Vista.

I've done more testing, and sometimes the quick tuning doesn't fix the problem with the Viper. I wouldn't trust the car online, because I'm seeing my setups change from race to race on some cars.

I'm having problems starting a race. After I get the settings in (track then car,) it will crash. I don't have the first patch installed but I got the Wipe Out Mod installed and running on Vista. Go to C:\Users\DJ\Documents\NFS SHIFT in other words "My Documents\NFS SHIFT" and open graphicsconfig.xml in notepad... Then replace these lines... <prop name="Name" data="" /> <prop name="Mode" adapter="0" width="800" height="600" antialias="0" refresh="60" /> <prop name="Vsync" vsync="0" /> <prop name="Windowed" windowed="0" /> <prop name="TextureFilter" texturefilter="0" /> <prop name="TextureResolution" textureresolution="0" /> <prop name="Brightness" brightness="10" /> <prop name="CarDetailLevel" cardetaillevel="0" /> <prop name="TrackDetailLevel" trackdetaillevel="0" /> <prop name="ShadowDetailLevel" shadowdetaillevel="1" /> <prop name="MotionblurLevel" motionblurLevel="0" /> <prop name="EffectsDetailLevel" effectsdetaillevel="2" /> ...or fill in the values from that code. If you can do a race with those settings, then change the graphics in the game, but only one setting at the time, so you'll see which one it is that stops the game from running correctly. Jussi

The only real technical issues i have is a lousy framerate on some tracks and some parts of tracks i have not really 'investigated' further .. I know that Tokyo track thingy got some issues and lets face it: my Radeon HD4870 512MB DX10 shouldn't be the problem here, i think ... ? Bandit
