Hey all I have installed Shift and the first try out was a bit hard with every assist off and AI cars on hard. I did manage to get in 2nd but that took 20 min of retries Every time some d**n AI car hit my rear and I was spun off - stupid AI cars. I have not had any graphic problems and the game started out in my monitors native resolution of 1920x1200 with everything on high except medium blur. The game runs fine and smooth and I have not had any problems at all. I am getting 90+ fps when racing on track and here is a picture of how it looks. I hope perhaps others with a G25 would share their experience on how to set up the settings best possible - I am still testing settings on that. Currently I am just running with the same settings I used in Pro Street. This game is fun so far and I bought my self a Seat Leon from start in career - nice little car with a fine handling. Poul

I did all the tier 1 events, plus the invitational events, which unlocks tier 4 before you even get to the tier 2 events. During the tier 2 events, tier 5 (no cars for this) gets unlocked.
I'm getting all stars, but using a trainer for "clean lap" at the Nordschleife sprint tracks, and spin out 4 opponents. The alternative is to run the event twice, the first time you win the event, then to get the final start, you re-run the event, losing the event, but getting the final star. For clean lap stay behind AI cars to avoid any contact. For the spin out opponents it just takes a while and some luck.
The stage upgrades tend to boost power more than grip, and a fully upgraded car requires you be easy on the throttle. The "works" upgrades are more balances between power and grip. So far I've only tested a works mustang and camaro ss.
The higest rating I see is a "works" Lambo Murc 20.99. The Zonda R is 20.50, "works" Z06 is 20.00, CCX is 18.40. The "loaner" Maserati MC12 GT1 is 20.00.

Hi guys! Only today I was able to install the game, pirate version since it seems the Original will only arrive to Portugal in more then a week... Because I have the Competition this weekend, and cant use the Wheel, I started with keyboard. Went to choose the Keyboard preset and made some changes on the keyboard layout. In the Graphics I left it the way the Game choosed it. When I started the game I immediately saw that the Graphic Settings were a little too much... I was have a few brakes and I sucked on my Lap with BMW... So much that I was advised to use Easy and all Aids On! LOL Of course that I had to Turn Off All Aids... And I wanted to test it... But I press the wrong button and went to the Race without re-testing! :X Result: the car was impossible to control with Keyboard and without TC! I managed 3rd... In EASY! LOLOL After this, I bought a Cupra, since it seemed a good choice, even more because it has the Works Package! Then went to the Main Menu and in Graphics changed only 2 things: V-Sync to Off and Textures to Medium. Then went to the Driving Aids and set Traction Control to Low. After this went to start Racing... The fps felt like they had increased by 3x! And the car was completly drivable, maybe also because it was FWD, dont know. Anyway, still in Easy, I won the 3 Races I did by 12s or more, so its ok... When I get home will increase difficulty and fine-tune some stuff... And its play to unblock the most I can! Cya my friends! Rogério

This is getting a bit desperate... ...but I have to try "v1.0 [MULTI10] No-DVD/Fixed EXE" in case it would fix my game. Let's see if it works? Jussi

Go buy a GTX 275 graphics card. They cost like 200 EURO only. Then you will never have to worry about when driver updates are out - Nvidia launches about 2 new drivers each month. I think that it is mostly people having an ATI card that are having problems with this game, but you could read some more in EA forum.

I didn't have any problem installing or playing SHIFT. Except for the handling of the car. The only thing that is annoying to me (for now) is that I can't log into the EA Nation. I've tried several names, but it says all of the names are already in use. Everything else is great in the game. The visual tuning is, just like Undercover, a disaster. You can get all your cars and vinyls the same color, but to get them at the same opposite side of the car... and in the right scale...

"Only" and 200 Euros is a contradiction in terms. 200 Euros is no small investment, especially if the aim is to be able to play a game whose system specs say that ATI cards are supposed to be supported.
EA should code their games to actually work with the hardware they claim to support, not force users to pay hundreds of Euros to adapt to EA's mistakes.

8.11 driver, you say... Hmm, maybe I'll try that? Well, I have been playing the game a bit and I find it pretty hard with easy AI. Here's how I defeated the Viper with Ford GT after losing the first round... Dirty overtakes I guess? And then a problem I'm facing now... Which Porsche to buy? Jussi
