His bill for Lingenfelters was $47,000(including some radar jammer thing they put on last week : and he takes it back in the next week or 2 for new bigger brakes for another 8 grand. The way he is driving it, he will be taking it back for tires in a few weeks too.

I think I'll buy one of these instead, It might be alot cheaper than a new Camaro.

It sounds pretty good. He could have alot more bass with Kicker 12" sub and 1200 watt amp, but would lose alot of trunk space.

Well, my buddy is going to add a few more horse to the Camaro. He took it to a Camaro show in Valdosta, Georgia and got his ass kicked in the 1/4 mile by another supercharged Camaro, so now he is not happy. He ran a 11.72 and the guy who won ran a 9. something. So now he is having a bigger cam, bigger throttle body, LS9 heads( he has LS7 now) and a few more goodies i cant remember at the moment. He says it should be very close to 1000 horse(rear wheel hp). While he was at the show, a company that makes body parts for muscle cars installed a new carbon fiber see through hood. The whole hood is not see through, just an area directly above the supercharger so you can see it. They also made a Z28 front end for him but it didnt fit correctly, so he has to wait until they make the corect modifications to it. The pics ive seen of it looks really sweet. I had some pics of the hood, but i lost them when my hard drive quit. Ill take some more soon.

Mind you, i do prefer a more throaty V8 sound, but i do like that supercharger whine. You could eat off that engine. It's cleaner that the outside of most cars!

Another update on my friends Camaro. He decided to have the 427 put in! They are going to put it on the dyno tomorrow, should be 1000+ rear wheel horse! He wants to take it to the drag strip this weekend, hopefully i will get a chance to go and take some video. This vid has the Z28 front end and the new hood(which has different pieces that fit in the hole, he usually has the plexiglass one in) www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTi84NPMxsM&feature=player_embedded

I screwed up on the last post, i meant to say they expected 1000+ horse at the crank, not rear wheel. Lol, that would be 1200+ horse at the crank, oops. Rear wheel horse is usually approximately 20% less than horsepower at the crank. Anyways, they were off a little. It actually produced 875 Horse at the crank and a little over 700 rear wheel horse, which isnt a lot more than the LS3(with LS7 heads) produced(still impressive). But it produced alot more torque, well over 100 more ft.lb. of torque than with the old LS3 engine. Almost 700 lbs of torque at the rear wheels! Thats really impressive out of a small block chevy engine. They retuned the LS3 several times and gained more power, so im sure they will gain more power when they retune the new motor, which is the 427(LS7with LS9 heads). LS7 and LS9 are what they put in the Corvettes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNGa7-GnySQ&playnext_from=TL&videos=Q7KdcXqeh0I&feature=sub
