The best sim to date dedicated to F1, dates back to 2002. EA's F1 Challenge 1999-2002 was released in 2003. Don't forget rFactor and the CTDP F1 add-ons.

I bought this game today. Made a little vid for you guys and included the in game settings that I felt worked best for me. Even with all assists off this game feels like having massive traction control in the cars. It's beautiful and fun anyway though, and I think probably better than that NFS World imho

I've got this game, but it fails to excite me too much. It has some very good features like qualifying laps, proper penalties, damage simulation etc, although the penalties are a bit severe when you are starting out. It looks superb on a triple screen setup. However, I much prefer Shift for the sheer pleasure of the driving experience.

I rather go with zero tolerance on cutting track, compared to how shift is where it is built into it that you _should_ gain on cutting at various places. Also if you try to wallride and turn the car around, theres no reset button, which should take care of the wallrider noobs. In online lobbys, you can decide which assists are allowed in a specific game, which is also a feature that's nice, if it might turn out that assists might be faster in this game too. One worrying thing though is that the modders released mods for it like the day after release. Like this: www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224701I really hope that dont work with online play. =/ Heres the codemasters official F1 2010 forum: community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316

Heres a comparison of the Monte Carlo track. Me playing the game: (compare with the pip) www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKrR0TSWKFcRobert Kubica, live onboard recording from real life: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7N8k5V2xOwI think they pretty much nailed how this tracks look, I actually thought this last vid was the game until I saw the cameras exposure misreading.

It all depends how ure playing it if u have a wheel and u put all the dead zones to 0 and 100 its very easy to lose it coming out of a corner but if ure using a pad its nearly impossible to spin out, also depends if ure tires are cold and the amount of downforce u run can dramatically change ure grip.

Anyone here playing this game? There is a PBRC much like the ones held here over at racedepartment.com. They seem to have a hard time getting people participating so it would be nice if you could attend. And if you're not as fast as the fastest participants dont be discouraged, I'm sure more will join automatically if only one or two people post times that more people feel they can compete with. This weeks track is Montreal in Canada and, the direct link is here: www.racedepartment.com/f1-2010-game/43341-time-trial-week-5-montreal-canada-dry.html

I have f1 2010 and as expected, it's well worth the money even at full price. this game makes you work for the win. driving skills are required. no grass cutting, no excessive ramming and crap. it's not only fun, but it's challenging which is where the real fun comes from. it looks good and runs well on dual core cpu with high settings. you can use a keyboard but with much practice. if you are a casual gamer of racing, then stick with GT, forza, and nfs, because this game is not forgiving.
