Hi all! I got frustrated fitting the traffic cars and not being able to complete Race 39: Inner City Knockout in NFS Underground, so I decided to change the game to something with no traffic, which means that I'm trying to play GT4 now. First I have to say that this game was clearly designed for people who have played previous games in the series. There's no tutorial what so ever to a Gran Turismo novice...I entered the "career mode" where I was given 10'000 credits. And I managed to buy myself an old MX-5 with over half of that. I found few races I could enter with this car, but they pay max 600 credits? I want to buy some decent non-Japanese cars, but how do I get my hands on some serious cash in this game without doing hundreds of races? Jussi

Do ALL of the license tests. Bronze is good. Then you get some cars and money. Then you have all the licenses to enter races and you have some cars and money. I didn't have played any GT games before I bpought GT4. It takes some time to be good in it.

This game is way too hard for a PS2 novice. I could pass the national a and b license tests with bronze or silver, but that does not comfort much when I can't keep up with AI on the races. Why do game makers these days make games with no difficulty options? I swear I would sue Sony, if I had paid the full price for this game that I can probably play quarter of the way. Luckily I only paid 4,30 € for it. Jussi PS. Look like the only real value of this game for me is in the split screen racing with some other noob.
