I kept having video failure errors and locking up multi-able time a day with my Palit GTX-460 so I bit the bullet and bought a new video card and my problem so far have gone away,, but I bought
XFX - ATI Radeon HD 6770 1GB DDR5 PCI Express on sale for $139.00 it's just a slight bit faster that the GTX 460,,, My last 4 Nvidia video cards never lasted for more than 1 year.. This ATi card offered a 2 year warranty so who knows maybe I can get my money worth out of this video card..

And it is actually slower than a GTX 460 You should check some bench figures..... Poul

I have the 5750 for more than a year now and I have to say I don't have any issues and I'm happy with it. Spiko

You are properly right Poul, but I like what Spiko said "I don't have any issue" This was advertise at $179.00 but when I went to Best buy to get it..... it was on sale for $139.00 after taxes $149.00 After having my last five video cards only lasting one year, This Palit GTX 460 only lasted me 11 months.. I thought it might be time for a change of MFG....
This ATi card has a 900MHz core clock speed and the GTX 460 was only 800 MHz that was the only difference I notice on the box as for performance.. same speed of memory DDR 5

I just hope the damn thing last me one year 14 months would be great...

I suspect your graphics card to have been faulty from the beginning - as I remember your fps were lower than what should be expected with a GTX 560 TI. I bought Crysis 2 to have something to play when I am bored, and I am running it in DX11 with Ultra settings, the High Resolution and Texture patches enabled and in 1920x1200 resolution. I am getting fps between 50-70 and it could not look more beautiful with my two GTX 460 in SLI. I am in no hurry upgrading my cards, seeing there is no point in doing so before the next generation is out - along with the new socket 2012. Poul

Hey Poul, After using this ATi card for a few weeks now,, there is a big difference in video performance between this and the Palit GTX-460 so I am doing and RMA with my GTX-460 for a replacement... I am still with in the one year warranty period 10/06/10 was my purchase date.. So hopefully in a few weeks I can get an RMA process and get I know not a new one but a card that is fully functional... You would be right Poul.... I did 4 runs, 1280x960, 1600x1200 with no AA and 8x AA. System and video driver are using default setup (video driver set to "balanced", in the middle between perfomance and quality). rcgldr.net/misc/unigine_20110818_0315.htmlrcgldr.net/misc/unigine_20110818_0334.htmlrcgldr.net/misc/unigine_20110818_0348.htmlrcgldr.net/misc/unigine_20110818_0354.htmlupdate - I bought and added Win 7 Pro on my system (now triple boot, XP 32 bit, XP 64 bit, Win7 64 bit), but I only plan to use it for some games. I ran the unigine benchmark with the same settings as the first run above (video driver with default settings), fps improved to 88.9 (from 72.2): rcgldr.net/misc/unigine_20111130_1812.htmlWith tesselation normal, and ansiotropy at 4x, fps was 63.9: rcgldr.net/misc/unigine_20111130_1739.html

Im so happy! No problems what so ever. Already updated Bios and drivers. Damn this thing is fast! Liking this motherboard alot! Has any sensor you could need, and great utilities. Awesome Bios! really easy to understand and navigate. I think ill wait a few days before i start overclocking anything and i dont think i will need your help, for once, Poul! Here is everything i have now- Asus P8Z68-MPRO Intel i7 2600k - stock for now 8g Kingston Ram GTX 560 Ti - stock for now Intel X25-M 80g SSD 500g HDD (cant remember what kind, WD i think)

Aaron I think you bought just the right things - except I would had gotten the H80 rather than that A50 - cools so much better. Now I need to go to work now, but when I get back home I hope you will do a few benchmarks - just to see if i should go buy a new CPU or keep my old overclocked i7 920.

Here you go Poul, everything is on the highest setting i think. Cpu and gpu are stock settings. Probably do some light overclocking this evening when i get home.

After some overclocking. Gpu max temp was 69 degrees Celsius. Temps arent bad considering how demanding this program is at highest settings. Plus its 73F in my computer room.

I read the spec on that i7 2600K chip...but I am not sure I understand it... correct me if I am wrong it's a 3.4GHz CPU with how many multi threads 4 or 8 and your are OC it to a 4.43GHz is that right??? You should have went water cooled instead of a fan, the advantage to water cooled,,, I never have to vacuum the dog hairs or dust out of the heat sink again wahooo..

Its OC to 4600 now. I cant change voltage with this MB, everything is automatic, but seems to be working very well. At 4600mhz cpu voltage is between 1.24 and 1.34. I also went higher with the GPU to 945 core clock and raised the voltage a little. Will do some more bench marks tonight when i get home.
I will go with water cooling eventually, but so far my temps are low. I really like this A50 cooler. With fans in front and rear of my case and the A50 in the middle facing the same way as the case fans, it is really moving alot of air in the case. I also like how easy it will be to clean the cooler because of its placement and size. I will take a pic of inside my case tonight and post it, you will see what i mean.
Where are you at Poul? Any thoughts so far?
