Ive gave up on nfs world for now, simply as it didnt work and when it did it was going to frame by frame and its also using up too much of my memory. Too late now, but how much memory was it taking and how much memory do you have on your PC? I had the impression that the requirements are much less than current games like NFS Shift, since World is using NFS Carbon's graphics engine, although I assume there may be more polygons on objects and cars now.

I think some of us are experiencing a memory leak in the game. I didn't check my memory usage, but with the deteriating framerates which were independent of graphics settngs it makes sense.

Your kidding memory leak, thats odd why would that only happen on some pc's? I don't know. Maybe those with large amounts of memory log out before they notice it. All I know is that each beta it gets better for me. I got to level 4 this time without having to log out. However, I did have some problems with extremely low framerates during multiplayer. These occurred suddenly without the gradual decrease. This, I think, is a different bug. -Dwight

I'm not sure it's a memory leak. I played off hours (few players on US server) and the degrading effect of the graphics was greatly reduced. The visual stuttering seems to be somehow affected by how laggy the servers are.
The physics is also being affected by long sessions online, with the effect on nitrous most noticable, eventually reaching a point where the car shakes at bit and the speedometer goes a bit nuts. A car's physics when not using nitrous is may also be affected, but I'm not sure.
The fix for both issues is to exit the game and restart. I'm not sure what's going on.
