Hi guys!
Except for LP640 and Zonda, which I will use for WR, I really dont have time to be able to test setups for different cars every week. But I want to be competitive and participate in our PBRC sessions.
So, if everyone agrees, I would propose that starting next week we would use Stock or Bonus Cars for all our Races. For Races with Zonda or LP640, then we could allow Custom Setups if everyone would agree.
Cya!

Jussi PS. My Shift got mysteriously screwed up, so I'm not sure when I'll be racing with it again.

First off, I'm new here, so I dont have as much to say about it as the veterans off course. I agree that it is hard to find time for all competitions, I just can't find time for every weeks comp, with work and other stuff in my life.
The down side of using only stock cars is that we might lose the very good testing of all cars, upgrades, tunings etc to find the best possible cars for specific ratings. This is great for me, since all that is applicable in online play.
Another option could perhaps be to lower the number of comp. to half, two a month or something like that?

I wouldnt mind 2 races a month, but dont like the idea of always using stock or bonus cars at all. Finding a good setup for our races is half of the fun for me.
Im ok with whatever is decided, but i wont have near as much fun racing 2 races a month with stock cars - Zzzzzzzz

Eheh! I knew you would say that! Ahah! But my opinion for the likes of WCG still stands! ;P On a weekly basis though, using different cars, I would agree to it. Well, I was expecting most people wouldnt like it, but had to try! ;P I tried to Race just for fun, but didnt workout! ;P I will try to do 1 or 2 Races a month, especially the unrestricted ones! Cya all! Rogério

I think a good solution to reduce the stress, would be to make every other race stock cars (or reward cars) only and every other as before with specific rating, tier, manufacturer (and so on). Unfortunately my own Shift is broken (and I haven't tried reinstalling it yet). Jussi

Hope you backed up youre save file Jussi. I remember a little over a week ago, hearing about someones shift crashing, and thinking that wont happen to me so I dont need to backup anything. Then my savefile becomes unreadable.
Lucky for me Jeff helped me out. I took his save and renamed it, had my tunings saved luckily and was able to get back to the game quite quickly.
So it sound as if maybe 2 or 3 competitions a month would be good to more people? I gotta have time to drink some beers with my friends, date some girls, renovating my apartment. And every other week I work 5 nights, which means sleeping all day and not playing shift much at all. I would imagine more people must find 4 races a month a little much.
I wont oppose, yell and scream if you want to keep it the same but perhaps a vote or something?

How does everyone feel about the current 4 races per month with 2 races with stock cars? I know some of you want only 2 races per month, but is this still too much? Of course, not everyone is going to be satisfied, but would like to make the majority happy.
We will be going back over the tracks we have already raced soon and im going to try to mix it up a little. Some more same manufacturer races(like the Porsche only race), some European or American only races(for example), some different rating races(8,12,16,18...). Any other suggestions??
I was also thinking about the winner or loser after each month getting to choose the track and rating of thier choice for a race the following month. Are you guys interested in something like that?

Yep ,good idea! If the loosers chose different tracks ,it would be definitly a good option. (As long as it can be sure that every looser chooses Spa e.g.) Also new classes would be nice ,like rtXus already argumented with. The cars will be different then ,not evertime the same like MX5, Challenger,Evo/Stingray, Gallardo or Zonda/Murc

Of course, not everyone is going to be satisfied, but would like to make the majority happy. Our PBRC's have been weekly events since they started. I say we need to hold on to our tradition and have a race per week with minimum racing time of 2 weeks. If someone wants to only race every other week, they can do 2 races at once. We will be going back over the tracks we have already raced soon and im going to try to mix it up a little. Some more same manufacturer races(like the Porsche only race), some European or American only races(for example), some different rating races(8,12,16,18...). Any other suggestions?? You might as well designate one car to use, since almost everyone drives the same car anyway. The other option is to "disqualify" the cars that have been the übercars in the past races. I was also thinking about the winner or loser after each month getting to choose the track and rating of thier choice for a race the following month. Are you guys interested in something like that? If it is loser, then I get to choose all tracks in the future, lol. Jussi

Lol, i had a feeling you was going to say that. Ill probably get hung for this, but....how about disqualifying certain cars for only the professional drivers? Might make things a little interesting?

It's worth a try ,I think. But I'm really unsure if our Pros wold do that:D This system would need a lot of more work, because you first have to find a slower but still suitable car;) like DBR9 vs Zonda R at Road America, that would be such a race ,if I got that right. The DBR9 can do ab 1:54.9 ,the Zonda in an average hand maybe a 1:54 too

How far back to the losers section? I'm sort of in the middle of the road...I guess I'm a loser tooo anything lower than 3rd place is a loser.... unless your talking about last place........
