Here is an update - hard to improve further for me unless someone shows how to take those turns faster. Poul 2.06.770 - Grnkjr0 - Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) - 6.0

Huh, had to turn autoclutch off to get a good launch at the start which really helped my 1st lap. Great time Poul! Im getting closer, my best 2 laps = 2:07.280. 2:07.900 - aarog5606 - Skyline (R34) - 6.0

Thanks Hotride, yes, i think shifting between 7250rpm and 7500rpm did seem a bit faster for me. Downshifting in the first and last corners slow me down though, mostly on the 1st corner(on 2nd lap).

Hey
About my video; I shift normally from start just before redline from 1st into 2nd and 3rd, but then shift into 4th at 143-145 km/h. I then downshift from 4th taking the following turn in 3rd and the S-curve I take in 2nd - just like in my video. Going into 2nd lap I stay in 4th in the 1st turn and just lift my foot from the gas pedal - speed slowing down to 150 km/h - and then I accelerate again.
I am sorry I was unable to show the actual race, but I was testing to see if FRAPS would hurt my lap times and was not expecting my 2nd lap to be this good. I do not think FRAPS hurts my laptimes and I record in 50 fps, but of course I have a fast video card.
Poul

hmm, this might be true, never happened before though.... I tried unsuccessfully to apply Aaron's or Paul's driving style on this track, but it seams this gives me a massive understear in some corners, which practically forces me to slow down a bit Well, whatever......HAPPY 2010....again

And again with this car you need to brake at the right time before entering corners and you need to have the correct angle on the car into the turn otherwise you need to pull too hard in the steering wheel and that means the car won´t accelerate again until the wheel is centered.
