So far I haven't had any glitched cars offline that I'm aware off. Has anyone experience the speed bug since using patch 1.1?
When racing online, the car most often glitched is the SpecV, most noticable because of the taller gearing and usually reduced grip. I've learned to notice the glitch when I detect the taller gearing, and compensate, but many players aren't aware of the glitch other than they end up off track more often due to the reduced grip.
I've now experienced the glitch with other cars.
Z06 - much taller gearing than stock, very reduced grip (I'm running 44/50 downforce on the Z06 for short tracks).
240SX - clutch slip when using nitrous when glitched. Not sure about grip or gearing when glitched.
EVO IX - clutch slip when using nitrous when glitched. Not sure about grip or gearing when glitched.
SpecV - taller gearing, reduced grip.
Zonda R - if it's glitching, it's subtle and I haven't noticed it. I run 5th and 6th gears 1 click left (shorter), and downforce at 0/1.
The patch 1.2 description implies that the glitching will be fixed.

I think you can add a speed bug to the Audi TT Coupe. I was using it as 10.00 car last night and it would do 275+ km/h - not sure what top speed it has when being a 10.00 car.
I will check this though. Are some people able to avoid getting a cut track penalty? And if so what causes this? I was chasing someone who cut every corner and I decided to try and stick to his rear but ended up getting a penalty whenever i tried to.

Are some people able to avoid getting a cut track penalty? I'm not sure. At Silverstone GP, I saw Ziggel trying to chase down Red Arrow, taking what appeared to be a straight line on the far left side of the back half of the track, driving at high speed through the grass, bypassing both chicanes. I don't know if that is the path he really took, or if there he used a warp feature (save + restore position) available in some trainers that confused the game, or some other hack, or an extreme case of lag. Note that this would take not only allowing no cut penatly but also the car had to be able to run at high speed on the grass without bouncing badly, or losing grip. I haven't tried doing that to see what happens though. I've also seen a few cases where other players cut at Silverstone GP, in apparent attempt to ram cars that were well ahead, but I don't know if they ended up getting a cut penalty afterwards. At Donnington, I saw MercedesCLKGTR well off track but going at speed, the same pattern for two laps in a row. What I saw was his car well off to the left just after turn 1, then after the track goes downhill, turns left, then right, his car would go off track to the right a bit, then merge back onto the normal track. It was like he was runnig a different version of the track (I've seen this happen with High Stakes online when players use the wrong add-on track). In this case it seemed to be a combination of lag and a game bug. I've recently seen cases where a car generates smoke while appearing to be on track, then the smoke clearing or at least changing when the car goes offtrack, this would require a game bug as well as lag. Perhaps there's some unused blown engine feature that triggers the extreme smoke.

I have seen the smoking car bit a few times. The car smokes so bad I can't even see the track. I'm wondering if these are some kind of cheat codes use by someone in the game.
I raced a 14.0 race last night and at the starting line none of the cars started the race except for one dude in a Ford Focus he went around two laps before we got the green light to go and by then this Focus came around for his 3rd lap and won the race. What kind of chit is that.
Also I don't know if it's bug or not but racing online I'll loose my car reset button and my NOS button will no longer work. Is this someone using a cheat code or am I alone with this problem. Restarting the game does fixes the problem.

I have seen the smoking car bit a few times. The car smokes so bad I can't even see the track. I only noticed this the last week or so, but I've been playing online more often lately. Don't know what's causing it. Thats a game bug, although extreme. I'm not aware of any method to affect the control inputs of another player online, so that sounds like a game bug.

Thank you for your reply Jeff, Maybe you can answer this other problem I've been having. I used Poul's and Norm setup's on the TT and neither one of the cars would handle for chit. So I changed my configuration from Imperial to metric and then restarted the game. Went back into the TT setup and the bars were all moved around backwards.
So I reset Poul's blue prints first and then drove the car. And the car handle better than before but it was still not perfect for racing so I tried Norm TT setup and it handle great. So I raced online for a few hours with no problems with the car.
So I changed my configuration back to Imperial restarted the game and went back into the TT setup and everything was backwards again. Then I drove it and it handle OK but it was not as good as when in the metric system? is there something different with the car setup from metric and Imperial or is this a bug too? I've given up on trying to drive the TT.
One last thing while I have your attention. I was able to buy two GTR before the first patch and now I can't buy two of anything. Did I just get lucky on buying them before the first patch or is this an Isolated case? The second GTR I was able to upgrade everything and I mean everything except for the master cylinder and the car rating is 13.85
The second car out handle the first car because it has all the upgrades except for the master cylinder. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

There are multiple GTRs in the game. The one most players use for 14.0 is the GTR Spec V. The body kit will snag and cause bounce issues on the banked oval tracks, so I use seam welded chassis instead. Since I run with zero downforce, the body kit doesn't do much for my setups anyway. It's also better to use race exhaust than a stage 3 engine. Here is a link to a savegame I use for online play (except I use black cars instead of the black/blue flip ones in the save): rcgldr.net/nfss/nfss.zip

Hi Monster!
I am guessing you bought the 2 R35 GTR... The normal R35 which can be upgraded to Works and the R35 SpecV.
Cya!

Hello Rogério
Thank you for your response; You are right they are different cars, darn my bad, well then answer the first question if you can?
Can we in the USA on the imperial system use setup's from the metric system and will they work? Norm car worked great when I was configured for metric, When I use his setup while on the imperial system it handle Ok nothing special.
Or maybe better yet just wait for the patch #2 and then try everything again.
The TT is bad azz mofo for using in 10.0 rating but its like driving a raging bull its all over the road.

Hi!
I have no idea about Metric vs Imperial system! :S I use Metric, since I am Portuguese... It should not make any difference, pending the equivalence is correct.

I noticed that zx12rcr ran a sub 1:06 at Willow Springs and a sub 1:50 at Road America. I saw him online and asked about this. He doesn't remember any fast laps at Willow, he usually runs low 1:08's, so that might have been a stats bug. He did remember Road America which was his lap record. He got bumped off track in lap 1 of a 4 lap race, and drafting may have helped as he regained the lead, plus he mentioned late braking to avoid getting rammed, but the car seemed to brake better that time (grip bug?), and he set that lap record.
For me it seems lately that most of the online races I'm in are in the 14.0 or slower cars. These cars get glitched a lot, as well as the Z06, but usually they end up slower. I don't recall a glitched car being faster, but with all the car and track switching, it's hard to tell. Others have mentioned unusually high speeds in certain cars, but I don't run those cars (like the Audi TT), so the glitching seems to vary depending on the car.

Jeff
Go see my video in PBRC Glendale West and you will see a car that is faster online than what is possible offline. It is the GT-R SpecV, but it does not have the tall gear speed bug - rather it just accelerates a little faster and gives a sligtly higher top speed than normally.

Its starting to frustrate me, you never know what your going to get from race to race. No glitch one race, tall gear no grip glitch another race, a mix of the two in the next race. Its getting worse. Ive been racing online since the game came out and at first never had any SpecV glitches. Then a few times it would happen. Now it happens more often than not and the glitches vary. The R8 is glitched too. Tonight in one of the Nord. tracks, my top speed was normal 160mph. The next race, still Nord. but a different track, topped at 175+mph with slightly less grip.
