What are your thoughts about it?

I think it is weird that in Norway some 100.000 people are infected and here in Denmark only a few. We are neighbor countries and you might think that with all the Norwegians and Danes visiting each other the numbers in Denmark should be a lot higher. But were does it come from originally? Some say its a Chinese laboratory and even American - but it is probably just a cousin to the Spanish flu. Poul

It "allegedly" originated in Mexico. Then with all the people in Mexico trying to get the hell out of there, they brought the virus with them, unknowingly. They then infected other people and on and on....

I'm one of those 'on-the-fence' people. I don't like the fact that agencies are 'scaring' the public. Especially when it comes to encouraging the population to get vaccinated. Personally, I'll probably skip the vaccine. I've never had a flu shot and I've never been incapacitated by one. I'm one of those believers that feels building up a natural immunity is the key to better health. I feel vaccines only serve to force the strains to mutate around them in the long run.
That's just my opinion. I don't suggest everyone follow my lead. If you feel better getting the shot, then by all means, do so.

I think the reason to why the youth these days gets sick all the time is because they do not go outside to play all day like we did and they don´t eat dirt of the ground like we did.
What i´m saying is that they spend too much time inside (at least here in Denmark in the big cities) rather than being outside playing and developing a healthy immune system.
That is why I know I will not get H1N1 and if I do it will only feel like the ordinary flu. I am not worried about this at all.

It's completely overreacted, that's what I think about it. I mean come on. How many people died from the H1N1 in the States? 46 or something like that did. Compare that to the 4,000 + people who die from the normal flu annually. Tell me, what's so life threatening about this flu?
I mean, you go to the doctor down here if you possibly have the flu, and what do they give you? Antibiotics and Paracetamol. If it doesn't get better within a few days, then fine, you can just go for a flu shot. That's it, you're done.
I mean seriously, this whole thing is just complete and utter nonsense. Yes, if you do suffer from asthma and other such illnesses, having the H1N1 will not be a good thing at all, but it's just really overreacted.

Yeah but if you get H1N1 you can't just get a shot you have to go to the hospital and get help immediately because one of the symptoms is difficult breathing

Then why the hell are we even here, when we could be out playing sports or something? Well I'm 38, I think it is a bit too late for me, but it has to be when kids are small. The minute they can walk, kick them outside and tell them - if you can walk you can also run and play When I was a kid, we were outside all day and we only got inside to eat or if we needed a bandage, because we were bleeding - and I am really not kidding. In my fathers family they were 7 boys and 3 girls. Imagine that This was why my father thought it would be best for me to be out running and playing with the other kids. Poul

Same here, except on Thursdays at 7:30 PM all the kids would hurry home to watch Knight Rider or MacGyver or even Street Hawk. There was only one cool American show per wekk on the telly those days and that was always 7:30 PM on Thursdays. Jussi

Well, now I have some new thoughts on it. Pretty sure I have it along with two others in this household. Although I'm not high risk, I should still be cautious and isolate myself for 7 days. No problem. Except I have to move in 2 days and Halloween is in 2 days and now I can't show the world my costume!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
