Meh, why not. '99 Saab 9-3. 2.0T 4spd slushbox Second heaviest variation of the OG9-3 options. (autotragic convertible outweighs it by like 20 lbs) Traded my old, worn out, '95 900S for this car... so I'd say I did pretty well Pics... Arriving home... Thuper shiny reman cylinder head (had a chipped exhaust valve in cyl 3 = no compression. It's on! Annnd, after the fiasco of fixing it. Trying to sell it... no such luck... Painted grille... debadged and rebadged.... So, yeah.

The car looks pretty clean actually. The seats look like they're fresh from the factory. You always get great deals on Saabs in my opinion. Good luck with this one.

Eh, pictures are generous. The paint is in rough shape and there's been some, ah, "budget" paintwork done on the 1/4 panels... resulting in some rust on the drivers side. Could be a lot worse, though

Ouch, you were not kidding when you said it was rusty. You got a job on your hands there. Good luck.

A little too many images so it's slowing down my computer and it's not letting me view the pictures.

^That's just how I roll Well, the fucker has been nothing short of completely uncooperative every step of the way... but it's done. Looks like shit (amazing how many imperfections you can't see until there's nice shiny paint on there) but hopefully it'll slow down the rust. Pics tomorrow if I manage to get it to start... (dead battery, dead booster back, can't find jumper cables).

Slowly working through its various issues. Every time something gets fixed, something else breaks. Eventually it'll be ready for fun stuff. Also, here's some pics I never posted of the various stages of dicking around with rust. Primed... Done. Amazing how many imperfections you can't see until they become shiny. Looks like shit but hopefully it'll slow down the cancer. And it's my first time evar doing anything with filler or anything of the sort, so I can't complain too much. Yes, there's a bunch of overspray on the plastic. Going to be reviving the plastic throughout the car eventually.

You never seize to amaze me. Despite all the rust, you still take A grade photographs. You should call this car "Rusty Demon".

Oh it's already got its fair share of nicknames... Exxon Valdez and Rolling Oil Spill no longer apply, but The Constantly Broken One still works. I haz shiny. Shit takes foreverrr. I've probably got 7-10 hours into this. I already had the sandblasted valve cover that I was going to refinish for my old car (hence the 2.3) and figured I'd try something new. I'll probably end up doing my current one, because having a 2.3 valve cover on a 2.0 will annoy me
